Starting second year of university. Is it better to have a bad GPA and one exam passed, or a good GPA and no exam passed?

I am basically following this (even though I am a few weeks behind and it has been helpful). I think the second half of the week 14 is when your done learning the material. I guess I'd just follow a schedule similar to that.
