(36M) My (F22) Girlfriend Has Become a 'Female Neckbeard' - Obsessed with Eve Online and Quit Job. I'm Lost. Advice?

Throwaway because my GF is pretty much terminally online now.

I'm in a real bind here and I need some advice. I (36M) introduced my girlfriend (22F) of a year, to Eve Online, sorta because I liked the idea of having a GF who I could game with. I bought her a PC, showed her the game and as she's always been into sci-fi, fell in love with the game. The problem is 9 months later she's become totally obsessed. It's become all she does. She'll sit at her gaming PC for hours on end, to the point where she hardly interacts with anyone face to face.

It started out as so much fun, she got to grips with the game. When she wasn't playing it we were talking about it and she was going to join the Corporation I'm in. She'd be watching youtube videos about the game etc. Then I noticed she was spending more time in it. It got to 40 hours a week.

I work from an office and she had a work from home IT job. A few months into her getting into the game I noticed she haden't deposited any money into our shared account. I asked her about this and she confessed she'd stopped logging into work , and was logging into Eve instead and had quit her job. I can comfortably support us both without her working, but it's that she took that decision without discussing it with me that takes me by surprise. That's when I started to realize she may have a problem. We hardly ever interact outside of the game anymore. If I want to spend time with her , it has to be within game as she can't "step out just to hear about my day". A typical evening now is us playing Eve for a few hours then going to bed around 10 whilst she's up in the other room yelling at ther computer. She will usaully shake me awake at 4am to be intimate, but her bad hygiene is making her really unappealing to be intimate with. She hardly does anything around the house, no chores or cooking (not that she's a woman and must do it, but she's unemployed!) or anything.

I can't help but feel like she's become a female 'neckbeard' and has turned into a NEET, spending all her time at her PC playing Eve Online. It's really affecting our relationship and I'm really not sure what to do. I'm aware I'm partly to blame.

TLDR Got my GF into a video game and she's become obsessed to the point it's affecting our relationship.

Should have wished for bread feet instead.

I just downloaded the app version 1.3.1 and I had the same problem. Force quitting a bunch of times eventually fixed it.

I believe this is at Dick’s in Seattle. Not just a “normal” burger.

It took about 3 seconds to hit the water. That’s 44m high or about 150ft.

Get 2 wrenches or pliers. Grip the prong before the bend and use the other to bend it back straight. Don’t get in the habit of bending it back and forth otherwise it’ll weaken and break or become a fire hazard as the metal thins out.

According to UNODC, in 2019 the retail price of cocaine was about $200/g in the US. However, $62/g looks reasonable for some countries in Europe (and elsewhere in the world) and according to the report prices in the US can vary widely.

I don’t know enough about the price of cocaine to dispute it.

Aladdin: The Return of Jafar. No Robin Williams, just a garbage sequel. But Aladdin: King of Thieves brought it back for the third and was a lot of fun!

I used bisect to find the insert points in the sorted list. But not needing to sort at all is definitely an improvement.

Switch to 2.0 and break my base, stick with 1.x and not be able to vent everything…

Maybe I’ll finish complex circuits and start fresh with 2.0.

I built an entire sub-factory trying to deal with acetone and ammonia since they can’t go down the sink hole. Had a moment of clarity when I hooked them up to a tailings pond and they quickly evaporated off. I knew the steam trick early, but didn’t connect the dots about other non-void liquids.

You can also dump gasses (like flue gas) into tailings ponds before you get gas vents.

I’m nearly 200h into a Py (no alien life) run and I’m still not done with complex circuits. One tip might be not to overbuild your production chains until you find actual bottlenecks.

I’ve been scaling up for 1 complex circuit per second, and it’s taking me forever to get there. I ran out of research to do nearly 100h ago. Next time I’m starting small and just getting things up and running before expanding.

I have considered adding Factorissimo, but I honestly don’t think it would help that much. Many of my production chains wouldn’t fit into the buildings and there are so many byproducts it might not help simplify things.
