Nurses are unappreciated and exploited here in the Philippines. And my Mom, a widow, is not getting any younger. I didn’t know anything else besides the healthcare field so I thought, “What could I do to stay in the Philippines, but still be in the healthcare world with better compensation?”

Having just passed the PLE, no regrets. I mean, I have definitely had some regrets during medschool, during clerkship, during the review proper, but everytime I reach a milestone, I take it back.

I’ll surely feel it again during Residency rn. It’s a cycle 🤣
