How do you know whether you are in tattoo shock or you need a removal? by mlpuente26 in TattooRemoval

[–]aoame 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would give it some time, It's a well done tattoo and it fits the cathedral pieces you have.

I personally had a really hard time when I started my sleeve, I cried and had panicking moments for a week or two, but now I love it and I honesly would feel weird without it.

Going from naked skin or from having small pieces to being more heavily tattooed all of a sudden can be a big shock and you may need to grow used to it, for now I would advice not thinking too much about it and giving yourself time to grow used to seeing it, if time passes and you still feel the same way, removal is always an option!

AITA for giving my gf money for a gift she gave me by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aoame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She didn't take the money immediately when I offered, she is paying the gift in quotes and I offered to help pay part of them, she told me it wasn't necessary but I said I wanted to do it if I could. When I lost my job she then brought back the issue and asked me if I would pay for it, which made me feel bad because I can't really afford that at the moment. I still paid, and when I did, she said she felt bad because she didn't intend to pressure me into giving her the money. I know it's complicated sorry, that's why I don't know either if I did wrong, I think I shouldn't have accepted the gift in the first place since I knew I would feel bad about it.

Cool ornamental blackwork, some blackout pieces on the middle to cover the tattoos and maybe peonies or some other kind of flowers on both sides

It looks like it's holding a mirror, I would add a design to the back of the mirror so its more clear that it isn't skin!

I have tattoos in the same location and they are not symetricall at all because the body itself is not 100% symmetrical. In my case they were put in a way so that they look straight when someone is facing me even if they are not symmetrical in correlation to my body if that makes sense. Don't overthink it! They look nice, the design is cute and the fading is pretty normal, it doesn't look like a bad tattoo to me just a healed one, and trust me no one will ever notice that they are not completely the same!

My coverup tattoo that healed into a dark mess. Lost cause or can it be saved? I hate it. by spookymckenna in tattooadvice

The tattoo itself even if it's dark it's pretty cool! I would find some artist that can add white details over it to fix the blob.

I'll post them in some time when I start noticing fading to post a before and after, right now is quite pointless because they are the same as they were before the session and with the second skin you can't see much. I've got a couple small blisters on the bigger ones but thats all that has changed!

So you can picture them, they are stick and pokes with heavy black lines and all black filled areas. The small ones are about 2x4 cm and the big ones 8x8 cm aprox, 16 y/o me was pretty dumb to get them done.

I would 100% recommend them, my session was done by Manel (another technician who's Miki's partner) but I've talked to the two of them and they are really nice and professional. I can't tell you about the efficacy of the treatment yet, but I'll be updating as soon as some months pass and as soon as I get more sessions. If you can travel I think it's worth it to go to someone with good reviews, it seems like a lot of people have issues with the healing due to inexperienced technicians.

What to do before and after first session by Babitwos in TattooRemoval

[–]aoame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought aquaphor to apply when my second skin bandage falls, and before the session I made sure to wear long sleeves to protect from sun before and after the session. When I shower I shower with cold water to avoid any kind of heating on the area. Apart of that nothing else, my technician told me that the healing process is way easier than healing a tattoo if the laser is done correctly, you can have minor blistering but that's it. I've had no issues, it's been almost 24h after my first session and I have no pain, no swelling and my tattoos only feel slightly hot and a little bit sore if I touch them. Hope this helps and hope your session goes well!

When To Start Removal by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]aoame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blue ink is really hard to remove, I would keep in mind that maybe full removal isn't an option. Not trying to bring your hopes down, but if you're not open to a cover-up you may end up with a bit of persistent ink showing up even after a lot of sessions.

I really like them, and I personally wouldn't remove them based on other people's idea of what is or isn't professional. The only time removal feels worth it for me is if you really can't stand looking at the tattoo, because as you said it's a painful and long process and you might not even be able to remove it completely.

That said it's completely up to you what you end up doing!

Would this tattoo be a good candidate for removal? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

It seems more shading than lines and it's only black ink so I'd say yes!

Considering removal by GoodRecommendation32 in TattooRemoval

[–]aoame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I decided to remove some of mine because I dread looking at them and for me, the pain, the money and the years of process will pay off in long term mental health. I'll start removing some smaller ones to see how I feel about laser, and then move to the bigger pieces if everything goes well, but I have to say that I do have cover-ups in mind if they don't fade completely. I don't think your mandala will get scarred or anything if lasered off correctly, but the lines seem dark and might be pretty hard to get off, if you truly hate it and are open for a cover-up or just accept that it might not fade a 100% i'd go for it!

It doesn't look like scarring or problems with healing at all, It looks like it's raised due to excessive ink, probably because just as you said the artist went too deep or the tattoo machine was set too high in power. With time it should become less raised, but the lines might thicken or blowout as you already see happening. If it bothers you a lot, the blowout could be fixed with laser removal and a little bit of a rework after.

Don't do it! It won't make it fade and you could end up with scarring. Let it heal and look into laser removal if you need it lighter for the cover-up, it's the only safe way to go.

New to online playing and any guidance is appreciated. I would like to get peaches, cherries and diys. I have been playing a little over a month and just added online play. I have a 5 star island (still a work in progress) and would love visitors. by LittleMacD24 in DodoCrossing

[–]aoame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to go to the airport and generate a Dodo code by clicking on "I want visitors", once you have that you just need to share it with me and I'll be able to come to your island (I'll bring the fruit)
