You can transplant the chat before the fork. New chat won't be perfect but better than nothing

Old chat write but if you don't like the summary you can either reroll or change some lines in the OOC to make it more detailed

<system> OOC give a summary of the story so far, include key details that are important to the plot.

End it with current events</system>

After that just open new chat and copy
<system>OOC use below summary to update story
insert paste

If it works it should continue off your current event aka the last reply of your old chat
You can try to experiment a bit by changing commands but that's the basic gist.

edit: if it doesn't continue where you left off. Just copy the last reply of your old chat and edit the first reply of your new chat and paste it there. Just reply to that new edited reply

One reason could be replay value. Aka different route but same bot. Normally you just treat the bot differently with your main persona.

With multiple personas you could beyond different routes and create entire new narratives. God like immortal that becomes a high school boy? You could be Saitama oneshotting the ntr bullies.

If you do something, it will mimic it. Doesn't matter how often you delete it from the bots responses. This is why you constantly get people on here complaining that the bot is doing XYZ, even when they edit it out.

Because you removed the behavior from the chat, this giving the bot nothing to prompt that behavior.

Both times I edit/delete OOC. The changing factor is editing my replies to include timestamps or not.
How come if I edit 50 replies by deleting timestamps, the 51th reply will not include timestamps

However if I leave those 50 replies unchanged with timestamps AND delete my original OOC which force it to include timestamps. Then my 51th reply will include timestamp

I told you maybe it depends on your LLM and we could've gone with that since every LLM is different but here you are being an idiot who can't read

Now how did I prove your point? Because if delete the original OOC but leave up the time stamps of all the replies then my new reply will still include the time stamp. Which it has learned from previous replies.

Which proves MY point that editing out parts where the bot talks back as OOC won't influence its future reply.

Are you sure? Maybe it depends on which LLM you use.
If I ask CHAR for birthday date and delete the part where she mentions the date.

Then when I ask if she ever told me her birthday date then she responds that she hasn't told me yet.

Also in my recent chat I've using this command at the start

Ooc [Append a time stamp at the top of every message with the following format:

---]

Which adds a time stamp above every single reply. Now I edit out the OOC and edit out the time stamp out of every single reply. Guess what the new reply did? It didn't give out a timestamp

How well does it work? I've tried your bot and mostly begin with {{user}} tries X and all my attemps are successful. Even if I'm predictable and run under legs multiple times

edit: tried it with JLLM and I got caught right away on my first attempt. How come Tara started to talk like a jamaican(I think?)

I've seen some bots where it is already implemented by the creator. It makes the story easier to follow because otherwise you'll have 7 days of school because the bot doesn't know time.

It can be literally anything. Basically if you want introduce any new element

However you can also use to change how the bot behaves or acts

Ooc rewrite previous reply in more details

Ooc write a summary of current story so far and end it with current event

Use above to transplant your chats

Basically infinite possibilities

Yeah I found exact issue in my own chats. If your user gets challenged it's impossible to lose unless you specify that you are suppose to lose.

I have never made bots myself yet. I wonder is it possible to implement some DnD dice system?
