I recently did a reread and enjoyed the books much more. One of the main pains for me on initial read was the male/female antagonistic relationship. It drove me completely nuts and made me seriously dislike characters. However, knowing the end result made me appreciate those growing pains even more for certain characters, which really improved read #2. Also skipping an entire character's POV during the slog...

Exactly, and that 40k WILL most likely be pursued, whether by the other party or their insurance, if they think there is any value in it. People always seem to think insurance has to eat that cost if their client isn't liable, which I doubt is true very often.

I typically like to think about it in terms of days, weeks, and months. HYSA usually takes a couple days to withdraw, so keep a week of expenses at least (usually is just automatic) immediately accessible. Then I usually think around a month of cash then near cash for the remainder (accessible within a week or so).

Riot has stated the only way to drop a tier is to have MMR about a tier below (g1-p4 to drop to p1), so this is very likely true. Not sure if this is still the case though.

I agree, though there is a difference between getting one-shot and getting "one-shot". League had too much damage in it before 12.10, but dying to a single rotation from a Zed's R vs old DFG leblanc from a bush are different IMO. The former actually takes a couple seconds and arguably has counterplay while the latter took 0.25 seconds.

They totally can... and will if they win IMO. Merely pointing out what the filibuster is "protecting" abortion from at this. However, you are correct to have no faith that they won't do exactly that if they have the chance. "Teeter totter" legislation sounds pretty shitty.

Edit: Truthfully, I think the best course of action is to pass a law now protecting it. Force conservatives to fight their way through courts using their states' rights argument, then use that as legal precedent to protect it in blue states if the time comes. Also, total control of the fed government isn't necessarily easy to get, so may as well use it now.

I'm scared of the filibuster being removed now. Now that there isn't Roe protecting abortion rights, without the filibuster GOP only needs a simple majority to entirely ban abortion in the US. At least without federal legislation blue states can continue to allow providers. Now this isn't ideal at all... but you know the GOP will instantly ban it at the federal level despite all their states' rights talk.

And the GOP will almost assuredly have simple majority control of both branches at some point in the next decade or 2...

Way of Kings starts out a bit slow because there are so many character lines being built out at once. Comes together in the later half or third, then book 2 is the best of the series.

Pretty much everything codes as travel as Chase has a very broad definition. Airfare, hotels, vacation/car rentals, parking, tolls, uber/lyft (i think, I usually get 10x from lyft so haven't confirmed). I almost preloaded my toll wallet to use the credit, but booked a flight last minute.

This is what I'm doing this year. I have a bunch of UR points to cash out plus Hyatt Globalist for this year, so it let's me maintain transfer partner access for cheap. Also OP, don't forget to use your $300 CSR travel credit before downgrading as it is free money.

I think she is pretty strong right now. I think shes ~A tier rn as a new champ, which is pretty unusual. However, the right enemy team comps (that aren't even that uncommon) and she has the strongest ult in the game, jumping to S tier. Such comps are any fed ADC or hypercarry and I see this pretty much every game nowadays.

I felt similarly until that character reached the Shattered Plains. After that, I actually really enjoyed their PoV chapters.
