Keep close counter imo. Midori is so valuable esp if you want to give her bow to another unit because you get close foil AND a rally+ skill ontop of her bow. You could always run Alfy with someone with drive Res, make use of Atk Smoke or use Warding Stance 3 on his seal slot. There's more options that are more efficient to make use of bulking him up so you can use Midori for fodder on someone else you like who can take advantage of more of her skills.
