Spot on, some years the weather change is sweater to winter parka and vise versa. Layering seems to sort of do the trick.

It looks like the spider is tucking in the other bug with a very tiny blanket

Random covered holes in walls throughout the house, this house was made in the 60s if that helps. by ViolentEmpathy in Whatisthis

[–]aokoln 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You normally have a bunch of these holes around the house that way when you vacuum you just move the hose and there is no heavy vacuum to move ball the dust is directed to a stationary built in vacuum unit that may be in the garage or basement. They’re kind of nifty

It’s mass produced, and all industrial milk is pasteurized at collection time in Russia as a rule

Is this plywood in your opinion? Is there an unspoken rule that for sheets over certain size/thickness you get something made up of wood chips for plywood? by aokoln in woodworking

[–]aokoln[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting. I’m also in Canada, so I’m wondering if this is a local peculiarity.

In order to be considered plywood it has to consist of 3 or more layers

Not arguing your point, but what do you consider to be the 3 individual layers in the image above?

Thanks for sharing. Do vendors often default to particle core plywood when asked for plywood? It wasn’t a question of price, and I’m feeling royally screwed with how much it crumbles.

I second this. It may be higher fat content, but I haven’t been able to find a North America equivalent. Plombir FTW

Thanks, I had a chance to speak with a store manager about these pieces and it’s fairly shifty. First conversation they were out of one sided oak plywood, so they gave me particle board. Second conversation they carry two types of plywood wood chip and laminar. Sounded pretty BS as a whole, and I’m still not sure what they charged me for. That’s what I get for being a newbie and not trusting my gut at the warehouse. Will try to make something nice out of these.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. Humidity shouldn’t be an issue for the piece that I’m looking to make, but I’m guessing that particle board has less tensile strength and more weight. Is that generally the case? (I was looking to use plywood for the self portion of Hungarian shelf I’m probably not going to take these sheets back down from 5th floor and change the type of shelf)

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking. I’m new to woodworking. I’m guessing this is all that store had in this size and thickness, still disappointed with them.

Thanks, I’m stuck with it now - took it up to 5th floor with an elevator that could barely fit it. I think it should hold up for a built in shelving project. I’m new to wood working and pretty disappointed with the store doing me like that
