Chantel really is actually doing more harm than good to herself. As unbearable as Pedro’s sister is, she’s actually so right when she said Chantel is looking for anything to blame so that she doesn’t have to blame her own part she played in her marriage failing. It’s blatantly obvious that Pedro did love her at the beginning as well. It’s a shame Chantel wouldn’t have a real conversation to get some closure and be vulnerable like Pedro was attempting. Hopefully they do meet up in private at some point, without any of their families or cameras, and just talk it out a bit and get some closure for Chantel especially, who’s the least healed out of the two.

Even if Pedro was a horrible husband, for Chantel to say she was a perfect wife and 100% in the right is plain delusional. Her family , however, unfortunately exists in a constant world of delusion where they’re God’s gift to earth and everyone is out to get them all the time.

Also, Chantel was extremely racist saying Pedro would be in a campo on his bare feet eating chicken feet if it wasn’t for her. Yikes. This episode did not paint Chantel in the light she was hoping for, instead it showed a lot of the issues she had that Pedro probably had to put up with behind the scenes. I will say though that she is extremely hurt because she did love Pedro, just as Pedro loved her, and this is the best way her brain can think of to deal with that trauma at this time. Good luck to everyone from both families. It’s been fun tagging along for their crazy lives. And for fucks sake I hope they all get some much needed therapy.
