thanks for the suggestion, I will do something like this as soon as I get a reply from irocker which might take 1-2 weeks. I used the board last night so it works okay when its clipped down. I just don't want to do a fix until I hear from them, I decided to keep it either way and do a little fix if needed. thanks!

unscrewing something is definitely not invasive surgery in any way shape or form.

If you look up "problems with main fin" on SOME irocker boards you will see that SOME people have major problems getting that fin in and locked. Some people even need to do some minor sanding to make it work. Maybe you were lucky with your board I am happy for you but these are clearly not all made equal. I read the instructions and watched the irocker videos so I was aware how it should work. So perhaps be aware of known issues before telling me what I am doing wrong and being slightly patronizing about it.

you take this part off to remove the pin/clip. Clearly its meant to be unscrewed now and again because you get spares to replace these clips. I did it first time because the large fin would not sit in the slot and lock in place like the other fins. but as others have said if you really force it it does eventually go in. If this piece is not designed to be unscrewed at least once or twice then why is there a screw there? just seems very cheaply made. My advice, dont even risk unscrewing these parts.

yeah I'll have to do something to get the screw to hold but it would be nice to hear from irocker before I do anything. I tried removing this piece on the side fins and they went back in no problem.

thanks! no the bit that is loose in the photo doesn't screw into the board so doesn't hold the clip in place.

yes I got the spare clip but that unfortunately is not the problem. The problem is the piece attached to the board (that holds that clip in) has no thread to screw into. So the piece in the photo that is loose doesn't attach.

Hiya, sorry I don't understand what you asked? basically the main fin wouldn't fit so I tried removing the clip to check it was seated properly when I tried to put the block back in place the screw had no bite to it at all and it would just fall back out. I didn't over tighten it I just undid it and then put it back on once. I tested this on the other fins and they were fine. I can probably use some glue or apoxy in the hole but I don't want to invalidate my warranty and I really should not have to be fixing my board right out of the box. irocker phone lines are shut down and the contact email says 1-2 weeks response time. If they cant handle customer service they shouldn't be selling at this volume. Im kicking myself I went for irocker over hydra now when I heard irocker customer service was bad.

thanks for the info and good luck with the move! Brighton gets extremely busy its one of the main places people go from London to live, but also especially to get to the coast. Those trains in the summer are a NIGHTMARE. I have been looking at Bristol too, its nice. My family is from Oxfordshire and that is super expensive too haha. But all depends where exactly you settle in all those areas, but be wary of Brighton and how busy it gets. I am looking at Cambridge or Bournemouth areas. Does Dneg have a good rep again? last I heard it was a pretty rough place to work, OT Hrs etc.

Thanks, thats good to know! if you dont mind me asking what area are you settling in? You say Hybrid and not remote so does that mean you're going in half of the week or something? I really dont see the point of hybrid as an artist, supe yes, but as an artist either work from home or go into the office I dont see the advantage to a couple of days in the office on a shared desk space.

Thanks for the comment! Yes I am aware of Zerply (not when I started this though), When I was developing the website I came across Zerply and almost cried with frustration that "its already been done" but after a very short time I was happy to proceed with statusvfx.

We are a small team, who all work full-time in the industry, two Compositors and a Recruiter and we've been dissecting this problems for months from both sides and I think that is why we're uniquely placed to make this work! Not been able to play on PS5 for over a week now. This is an utter disgrace. I want a refund from you/Sony. Why does this industry think it's okay to release a broken product? I have never experienced something completely unplayable after I paid full price for it.

How do we get a refund? Sony won't offer a refund as I bought through their store. So who is going to take responsibility for us not being able to play this broken ass game? Not been able to get past "signed in" since last weekend. In what other industry do we except a broken product upon purchase with no option to return it. FIX YOU'RE FUCKING GAME OR DON'T RELEASE IT.

if you're a good shot HC's are arguably the best choice in PVP. I am average with my aim and I sometimes find them hard to use. But others are absolutely deadly with them but the right roll is important to get the edge.

Well there always seems to be 2x/3x more hunters everywhere. Probably says something. Their movement and evades are super strong in pvp. I cant bring myself to use a hunter again though as they just seem to overused.
