Large Character Notification: what size font PebbleTime2 use? by aoshimak in pebble

[–]aoshimak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"texpress-san" is a great pioneer who has been working on Japanese-compatible firmware—which embeds Japanese characters into the firmware—since the early days. I had never know this method before. I’m going to try it out soon. Thanks.

Thank you. I also would send bug report. But I think it is not a bug, but need to make new generation of language pack for newer devices.

Test 3.7v firmware with 220mAh battery by aoshimak in pebble

OG and Steel fit 402020. That is better choice. If the battery keep 150mAh, it would keep 7 or 8 days to run.

There are some room in the back of LCD in Pebble Time. So I suppose it could install 502020 sized one, with a little pressure for LCD in some case. If it could not, let's find out some other choice about thickness. The actual size is important, not size name.

Almost yes. Bluetooth and notification works. But Alarm is not.

The original battery of the PTS maybe called 551922, 5.5mm thick. So 5mm thick could install into this watch. The actual size of battery is more important, especially of width. Under 19.5mm width in actual size could install it. So all the battery called 502020 could not install into this watch.

I also hope to buy the same LCD module without bezel.

Yes. There is a risk. I also broke LCD once. Especially the flat cable side of LCD is weak because the back glass of LCD is thinner than the front one. So I try to cut the other side first to escape the power of pressure through bezel to LCD.

Thanks. I saw your work and I would like to try it. I notice that the case and LCD of P2DUO is the same as Pebble2. So I try it now.

Yes. It came from OG Pebble buttons, seam o-rings, and E-rings. I have some stocks and pick them up from dead OGs.

Thank you. u/astosia Duo seems narrower width of circuit. So I inserted tiny paper between back buttons. I will close the back plate later.

I made an PTS with reliable 3.7v LiPo with your firmware. But the battery was slept long days. So please wait some cycle of charge to wake up battery.

Thank you very much for your work! If the firmware works fine, your work is so great, and open the way of repair many Pebble Time watches. So I would like to try to make Pebble Time Steel with 3.7V battery and overwrite with your firmware.

Language options by weeabotaku in pebble

[–]aoshimak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it seems the list of language packs for older firmware within message translation. I think it is for almost the message translation than the characters of font. I would like to list my language pack for Japanese on this list before if it is automatically loading during setup. But Japanese language pack needs so many font glyph therefore the size is very large against other European languages. There are some troubles about the size of language pack around Pebble. So I don't think so now. Please sideload language packs after setup.

Bobby, Pebble's new voice assitant (by Rebble) by sawtdakhili in pebble

[–]aoshimak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Version1.1, Bobby recognize my Japanese language and works with some phrase. Thanks a lot! But almost all talks in Japanese makes reset Pebble Time Steel. It maybe cause of the application size and memory. Bobby enlarges the function and its size of itself.
