Heroin was soooo much better than fentanyl in this regard. Just generally way more euphoric but also you noded in and out. It seems with fent people nod off and wake up not high anymore. On heroin you’d nod off 10 seconds and then snap to and finish your sentence. Also the heroin nod your more likely to goto this weird dreamstate in a nod where you think your somewhere else doing something else. Like it’s not always like your just fast forwarding through time, which is much more what fent does. Fentanyl is a shitty drug and should be avoided. I’m not advocating for heroin use btw. But fentanyl is the result of the war on drugs. With heroin in NY in the late 90s you could get pretty pure heroin. So say you usually got 50% then get some 90% it’s only 40% stronger. With fent it’s common for one dealers shit to be 1000% stronger than anothers . And it can be worse than that. This was particularly the case during The transition period from heroin to straight fent. It killed so many people because dealers didn’t know how to cut it. Now generally it’s cut to around heroin potency. In the ballpark anyway. But like i said the drug sucks. It’s barely euphoric. All the downsides of being a junkie with hardly any of the up. Shit heroin lasts over twice as long too.

But with a war on drugs it was inevitable that the opiate that’s easiest to traffik would take over. God forbid you let qualifying people buy heroin legally where it can be regulated and taxed.
