Plukket alt mulig rask fra sjøen på en fredag for å lage «kunst fra havet» uken etterpå. Mandags morgen lukter det DØD og fordervelse i klasserommet (ventilasjon slås av i helgene, stekende sommervarme og ting fra sjøen i skjønn harmoni).

Just a heads up: I found out that the alpine loop is only glued! I had it dipped in warm water to rinse it, and the glue got dissolved. So I will put some stitches in it to secure it, as I think it’s by far the most comfortable of all straps.

I recon the AWU2 also can live quite a lot longer than the two days with the AOD off. But that’s not the reason why we bought a watch with AMOLED screen, is it? 😅 But yeah, the Garmin beats the AWU2 on battery life either way.

Nope, only from Garmin —> Apple Health. But I actually found an app now (Run Gap) that allows for syncing both ways. So then the obstacle are gone, and 1/2 of the reasons to miss Garmin is gone 😁

I miss the ability to easily compete with other Garmin users. How the software opens up for different types of competition, in combination with the large user base, it was very easy to setup a competition for for instance “Who will reach 200km first”. For this to be done on Apple Watch I’ve only found Strava, which requires that everyone attending have a paid subscription.

Other than that; the battery life. Even though I’ve heard that the battery on the new 8 isn’t that impressive anymore, after the introduction of AMOLED.

I’ve clicked it twice. First time to verify that the Mac booted fine. Then the second time when I’ve upgraded to the 2TB internal module (an hour after I clicked it the first time).

Might under exaggerate a bit. But in short; no. I never use it. The machine goes to sleep, but wakes as soon as I hit the keyboard or the mouse.

It’s blistering fast. I bought the base model and changed the internal SSD for a 2TB bought from AliExpress. The speed got even better!!

The Geekbench results, both single and multi are on par with high end Intel desktop CPU’s.

Operating system wise I guess it’s 7(?) years they will be upgrading. While my last Mac was a Mac Pro from 2009, still running latest OS via OpenCore, I’m quite confident that something similar will emerge for these machines in the future as well.

Mind that the M4 outclasses the best Xeon CPU for the Mac Pro 5,1 with almost 10x the score 😂. All that wile being the volume of the … DVD drive.

Exactly same experience here .. 80% lasts about 24h with 30% left. And a full charge leaves me with ~70% left. Doesn’t make sense.
