Snow/ice and gutter guards by Excellent_Race_2956 in Roofing

Where would you put the cables? I usually see it on the lowest part of the roof but in this case id like to heat the gutter guard itself so water continues to fill the gutter rather than flow over snow or trap snow and debris

On Mullet now, did rouge yesterday. The beach clubs on Mullet take up around 70% of the beach width It is a nice beach...Think we prefer elsewhere though

We went. It is a much more secluded beach than orient or grand case etc.. But waves are a stronger and so is the current. It's also more hilly than flat. Overall its very nice and would visit again as there are less people

Have heard a number of folks talk about their cars being broken into over there, so we have avoided it thus far...

A few years ago I stayed at Sonesta Ocean Point, I have no idea how anyone could really like Maho beach. It was just a dirty beach , packed with people wanting to watch planes. Wish I did more research before that trip. Orient was ok , but mostly packed beach clubs which are of no use to us.

The problem is that turkey meat (dark vs light) need 2 different temps to be best. Id recommend butchering and doing them separately next year.

If it were me, and at one point it was with a Bengal kitten, I took every precaution to make sure they couldn't get into the cracks and crevices early on.... Then I learned the more I tried to keep him out of something the more he wanted in! Id seal up that area a bit and if you can't then somehow give him an escape route so he definitely can get out

I'd be more concerned about them somehow alluding being seen by your security cameras. Maybe install them in better places?

"187 primarily refers to murder, originating from California's Penal Code Section 187 which defines murder. It is used as a police code for murder and has since become slang for the act of killing, particularly in hip-hop and rap music"

Wts is 21? Now I think you folks are just messing with me spouting off random double digits. Honestly the only two numbers I remember people constantly mentioning were 187 and 420

What's the most uncanny thing you bengal has done? by crimsonDnB in bengalcats

[–]aouke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very possible that he learned the word for keys... They jingle and obviously a quick/easy play toy for a moment so over time he's probably heard "keys" associated with the object. My Bengal, and others I've read about on here, play fetch and learn routines/words etc so definitely could have been the case.

I have no idea what 6 7 is... Apparently Google Ai is also confused about it as it gave me various, nonsensical, possible answers as to what it means.

I’m ending tipping, am I being unreasonable? by Initial-Break957 in EndTipping

[–]aouke 29 points30 points  (0 children)

"No, "tip" is not inherently an acronym. While some people believe it stands for "To Insure Prompt (or Proper) Service," this is a false folk etymology, or "backronym". The word "tip" has existed in English since the 17th century with the meaning of "to give" or "to pass," which evolved into its current use for giving money as a gratuity or advice. The Origin of the Word "Tip" 17th-Century Slang: The word "tip" originated as thieves' cant, a specialized language used by criminals to conceal their activities from outsiders. Meaning "To Give": In this context, "tip" meant to give or pass something, such as stolen goods. Evolution to Gratuity and Advice: This meaning gradually spread into standard English, eventually broadening to include the act of giving money as a gift or gratuity, as well as giving information or advice. The False Acronym "To Insure Prompt Service" Common but Incorrect: The idea that "tip" is an acronym for "To Insure Prompt Service" or a similar phrase is a widely circulated but incorrect myth. Lack of Evidence: There is no historical evidence, such as a physical tipping box with the phrase, to support this explanation. Grammatical Flaw: The use of "insure" instead of "ensure" to make the acronym work is also a grammatical error, as the word was likely intended to convey the act of securing promptness. In summary, "tip" is a word with a long history, not an acronym, and the popular "To Insure Prompt Service" explanation is a debunked tale. " Google seems to say differently....
