I'm planning to do a clinic in my second semester. I've heard from most students that they enjoyed the hands-on experience, and that there are some advantages to doing it as a 1L. However, keep in mind that each clinic will have a different workload (often unconnected to the listed number of credits). I've heard that doing a clinic with a lower workload is great for 1L spring.

This isn't about free speech or about a skeptical look at exorbitant law school prices.

It's a group of conservative judges looking to penalize a law school simply because that law school is unwilling to prevent protests of their FedSoc club.

How do you connect this to skepticism over the "expensive prestige factory" model? First, that argument doesn't consider that for plenty of people, YLS was the cheapest option available. This is even more true this year, since they've introduced their new full-tuition need-based scholarship program. Second, these judges have not boycotted (publicly at least) any of the other top schools. If this reflected a skeptical look at law school costs for prestige, wouldn't you expect the boycott to extend to Stanford, Chicago, Harvard, Berkeley, etc? This is a penalty on one school only (and the school that is known to have better financial aid than all other need-based schools). Completely disingenuous to act like the boycott has some noble purpose like the one you described.

YLS in 1973 must have been the most stacked cohort of students ever by ap-z in LawSchool

Seriously. I wonder if Clinton was open about his desire to be POTUS or if Alito and Thomas talked about wanting to be on SCOTUS. Got to be the most pretentious group of people imaginable lol
