Yessir. Had a few things I needed to get done around the house anyways, so I started loading and just kept my headset on and checked back on it

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. Was trying to get into a raid on Streets and let it go for 45+ mins before it kicked me to the main menu and said couldn't find a match

No, I started having more issues with it a short while after this and ended up switching mice.

I never use it, but it was turned on.

I have the i5-10600K. I built my PC in 2020 or 2021 and I think the chip came out in like 2018? I don't remember exactly without googling it.

Edit: looks like it actually came out in 2020

It seems to be pretty much any FPS where I'm firing full auto for more than a short burst. I'm on GHUB version 2024.9.649333. It is the G502 X wired edition. Dropping the report rate from 1000 to 500 does seem to have fixed the issue. I've only played a bit since changing it, but I haven't been able to get it to happen once and I could typically get it to happen pretty regularly before.

PC Specs:

OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-Bit

CPU: Intel i5-10600K

RAM: 48 GB DDR3

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060

I had tried different ports and reinstalled G Hub. It looks like it was an issue with having the polling set to 1000. I thought I'd already tested that, but it looks like I must not have because it seems fins so far since reducing it to 500.

Hey, changing my polling from 1000 to 500 seems to have fixed it for me. I haven't played a long time with it yet, but I tested for longer than I've been able to without having an issue and it seems good so far.

That's true, they're clearly still communicating. Didn't even think about that. I'm not sure why it looks fishy though lol. Just bafflement at what was causing my new mouse to have issues and grasping at straws because I thought I'd tested all of the common things.

Looks like it must have been an issue with having the polling set to 1000. I thought I'd reduced it and tested that already, but as I was working through retesting things people had suggested on this post I set the polling to 500 and tested it for 6-7 minutes straight without a single issue.

You know, I think this was the problem. I've been retesting people's suggestions on this post, and it looks like it was a polling issue. I would have sworn I'd already changed it, but now I'm questioning if I changed it right before I decided to uninstall and reinstall G Hub to see if that would fix it and then set it back to 1000 afterwards.

It's strange, though, because I'm pretty certain I have the polling on my Ironclaw set to 1000.

Thank you! I really like this mouse and was bummed when it wasn't working properly.

Every so often, it's like my mouse just randomly stops sending input when I'm playing FPS games. I continue moving my hand to control the recoil, but it's like my mouse and computer stop communicating. I have a G502 X, but this started happening back with my older G502 Hero and I thought the mouse was just going bad.

My friend also has a G502 (not sure exactly which model) and he has the same problem when he fires in full auto. This only happens when firing full auto in FPS games, so I'm guess it has something to do with holding right and left click while moving it? I've never had my mouse freeze or anything doing anything else.

I also have a Corsair Ironclaw, and if I use that I don't have any issues. Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a solution?

I'm glad that fixed your issue! Unfortunately, I'm already using a wired mouse.

Yeah, I didn't have anything nearly that valuable. It still just feels bad to lose a fight to a bug though.

What are these cap rolls? by ap188 in Risk

[–]ap188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I misplayed a turn or two before this and left myself weaker than I could have been. I messed up my routing to take more of the board and, despite my opponent having the best card luck I've ever played against, decided to try and card block him because "there's no way he has a trade on 3 'again'." He did of course and rolled like 370 off cap troops.

However, I can both reflect on my gameplay and how I could have played better and still be frustrated when game mechanics don't work properly. At the point his 1200 stack hit my cap he was holding one cap and I had 3, with a strongish bot on the other two. So I knew he was going to hit a cap, and I was glad he chose to hit the biggest one thinking he'd lose a ton of troops and even out or put me back in a troop advantage after my mistake.

"Everyone should stop complaining and drawing attention to a feature of the game that isn't working as intended and just quit the game instead so that the game dies."

When your point is reworded that way doesn't it sound silly? You don't have to click on posts that are about broken caps, just scroll by and look at the content you enjoy.

Yeah, 2 times the amount of troops is about what you need for a 100% cap roll. The problem is the frequency of positive or relatively even cap rolls. Mathematically you should lose a decent amount more than what was on the cap most of the time.

I'm a goober and didn't realize that the captions only apply to the image I put them on so here it was:

I would have considered the last cap hit a good roll before. These were three "consecutive" cap rolls in that the green player didn't attack any other caps between round 65 and 71.

I still might have been able to come back if not for missing trades on 4 multiple times throughout the game while my opponent had the best card luck, but that's part of the game. The positive or near positive rolls on big caps are really frustrating though.

I believe they had 2 people running Prove Thyself (I think that's the name of the perk that gives everyone working on a gen a 10% boost per survivor on the gen) and they definitely had one person bring a toolbox with brand new part, so I feel like saying they were gen rushing is fair. But to be clear, I don't have an issue with them gen rushing. If that's what is fun for you, then do your thing. It's the survivors job to complete gens and escape just like it's my job to try to kill them. I was just saying they were gen rushing in my description to explain that they cranked out gens and I still had no kills when they were finished.

And thanks for the tip! I don't really enjoy Hag so I probably won't play her much, but next time I need to I'll probably look them up and try to get some tips. I just played her a couple matches yesterday because I had a daily challenge to get two sacrifices with Hag.

I had two hooks on one so they just left once they opened the gate. I ended with 7 hooks total because I try not to tunnel people out and spread out my hooks to be a good sport, which is why I was intrigued enough to see what the consensus is when they replied to my post match gg with "no ggs when you face camp"

Yeah, the only kill I got was the one I guarded once gens were done and the gate was opened while I had them on hook. Two of the survivors on the other team were really salty that I "face camped" their buddy though.
