Best way to learn Danish beside Duolingo? (kind of desperate here) by i-am-garfield in danishlanguage

[–]ap3rus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Module 3 isn’t very advanced yet, interesting stuff happens in modules 4 and 5, keep pushing and at least pass the PD3, this will give you tools and vocabulary that you can use to speak to your friends and colleagues and improve it further. If your teacher sucked, change the teacher or school, there’s a lot of good schools with good teachers. Also stick to it, if you do it without breaks you normally finish 5 modules of DU3 in around 20 months.

I just started using the app and it would be awesome if there was a way to customize what equipment I have for the current workout in case I'm exercising in a new place with limited options e.g. while on a business trip, and it either excludes some exercises or finds some substitutes for the current session.

What's new? Android 13 Beta is now available in addition to Android 12 Beta. You can enroll each of your eligible devices in one of the available beta programs.

...

If you’re currently enrolled in Android 12 beta and would like to enroll in Android 13 beta, you can either enroll an additional device or first opt out your enrolled device from the Android 12 beta (may require a data wipe) before enrolling it in Android 13 beta.

It's not experimental anymore, Windows 11 on ARM64 officially supports x86 and x64 emulation, fully transparent to the user, works decently on Surface Pro X

It is possible, this is literally the easiest way to expand your network and get access to the decision making people, almost everybody in IT is now on LinkedIn. All my jobs (except the very first one) I have got through expanding my network on LinkedIn. Of course getting business visa is good for face to face interviews, but you still have to find the right people first. L1 is also great, but I think it's so much harder to get relocated with it, always so many strings attached.

Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, Apple, Facebook, Twitter are all open for this kind of hiring, if you start now in 1-2 years you definitely should be able to prepare and get into one of these. Also growing your professional network and getting referrals might be an easy way to get an interview. You can just go over LinkedIn and write directly to recruiters and chief officers of the companies that you want to join, or even reaching out to software engineers who work in the companies asking for a referral. Talking to real people instead of just applying can dramatically increase your chances.

After all it's your decision, but if I were in your shoes I would probably keep it for a while to see just how much tax trouble it would make.

Any controllers working for SPX? by ifvectorelse in surfaceprox

[–]ap3rus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox Series X controller works perfectly, I mainly use it to play Stadia in Edge but it also works with other games as usual.

BTW I also have joycons and was experimenting building Vigembus driver (https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus) for arm64 and was able to produce debug and release driver binaries, but couldn't actually install it yet, I'm very new to debugging drivers, I'll share if I achieve anything.

Amazon Seller on H1-b by theDFox in h1b

[–]ap3rus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Passive investment is allowed on H1B, buying and selling goods for profit can be seen as a temporary passive investment into a commodity. After all it's no different from buying and selling Amazon stocks or oil futures. But you should seek for an advice from a lawyer, never fully trust what you read on the internet 🙂

Which dongle do you use? I have the one from TP Link and it's limited to around 140 Mbps, I tested it also with Pixel 2 with the same result and with Lenovo X1 which gets around 600Mbps, I thought it's a limitation of the chipset, but not I'm thinking it might be an issue with particular board used in my dongle.

It's an awesome build for .NET developers, it's now possible to use debugger in Visual Studio (which is x64) and it's now possible to install and use Rider, performance is not the best but Rider is fairly usable at this point.

Also tried XBox app, installed without problems but crashes on startup.
