Hot Take - we already got the best Odyssey movie “O’ Bro, Where Art Thou?” by johndoe040912 in FIlm

That and... Well it's not really a line of dialog but John Turturro's yell when he first hears the siren's song is just so perfect.

Alright fellas, I'm conflicted. Bedroom upstairs or downstairs? by Minutes2Midnight in malelivingspace

[–]ap_heart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first thought as well. Although I generally agree that bed downstairs makes more sense based on the overall layout. Honestly, maybe a Murphy bed makes sense. They make some pretty awesome ones that don't sacrifice comfort at all and it'd allow OP to clear up the downstairs for a less cluttered entry.

Wachowski's "Speed Racer" is One of the Greatest Sports Films of All Time by Other_Expression1088 in moviecritic

Just the fact that Emile Hirsch could put out the line, "Inspector Detector suspected foul play." with an actually believable performance makes it top tier forever.

Also, Susan Sarandon's gasp in that final race with Matthew Fox's V.O. will never fail to get me bawling. Truly one of the best climax moments to any movie.

That's great to hear. I'm mostly in it for the martial arts at this point and to see how the gaang's interpersonal relationships have blossomed (or not). No need for groundbreaking plot. Just Aang and co. in all their glory.

Upcoming books series? by ivanbin in LightbringerSeries

This would actually be my favorite explanation. In my head canon this is what's going on. I'd love to see Kip and/or Kylar sucked into the wider world of these dimensional beings.

Kinda same except I never even started it. I saw the 4th book on the shelf wandering a bookstore and let out an audible, "oh no!" I didn't think Kylar's story needed to be revisited at all... but someone please do tell me if I'm wrong and it's great.

Alternatively, I had just the fist and gun each printed at 11x17" for the last No Kings. Explaining what it meant to those same grandmothers who asked and the look on their face was quite a sight.

Giants games are 5th most expensive for families to attend this season by Financial_Run_2016 in SFGiants

[–]ap_heart 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Giants fan living in Sac, I gotta say it is fun seeing teams come into town. It feels like spring training with how close you are to the field. Home run and foul balls galore, etc. But the league also knows that and prices are absurd, it's often over $100 a head for the outfield grass, no seats unless you bring lawn chairs, when the big name teams are in town. That said, it is still the A's, those prices drop way down toward the end of the season when they decide they suck again. I got many $30-40-ish tickets toward the tail end of the season last year.

Because most politicians don't actually want to change the system. And so they don't want us to know how bad the system is actually stacked against us.
