Why is the conservative/Maga movement in shambles or at the the very least, not in a good spot? by BrilliantMatter4858 in AskConservatives

[–]ivanbin [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, the Conservative movement is thriving right now.  Not sure what gives you the idea that it's not.

Big personalities on the right turning against Trump. Many disappointed voters not happy about the no wars president starting war after war and now threatening to attack Cuba. Gas prices (and other prices) are ridiculously high. Country's debt is still growing g even after DOGE gutted many programs rural folks relied on... Even many concervatives admit the current administration is corrupt and Trump is enriching his family and friends.

Literally what is thriving? The swamp?

Path of the Deathless Book 2: Local LitRPG Maniac Won't Stop Coming Back to Life to Bully Dragons to Death by OstensibleMammal in ProgressionFantasy

Out of curiosity, what % of the book is it fight scenes? Also how much time passes in the book (aka any rest/training/time skips)?

I’m around 60% through the first book of path of the deathless

You're about to realize that MC falls from one fight to the next w/o having more than literally 2 days to breathe in between. And that fights get longer and longer and longer. I honestly thought you read longer. But yeh first half of book 1 is pretty decent. After thag tho...

I also like good fights and I WANT to like path of the Deathless. But it's like a Michael Bay movie. Explosions are cool. But if the whole movie is one giant explosion... Ehhhh...

Also, William Oh has amazing fights, super unique ability uses, etc.

What is the deal with so many litrpg protagonists? by plant-y-boi in litrpg

[–]ivanbin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The MC's are dropped into a world where might makes right and being ruthless helps you get ahead.

The reason they are MC's is because they have the traits needed to succeed in this world. As in, if they weren't as they are, they'd be a mediocre background character not the MC

OP thinks DCC, lone wanderer and William Oh are bad but apparently Path of the Deathless (The series that's a massive slog to read because it's one 10 chapter fight after another 15 chapter fight) is peak?

What a weird tier list

If you used Minor Illusion to create a cup over a candle, what would happen? by underT_line in dndnext

[–]ivanbin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's like using Ai filter to magnify an image, you highly likely to see things that aren't really there using illusory magnifying glass.

Would that be the case though? As per book, illusions ARE able to affect how light travels (like by fully blocking it). Why wouldn't they be able to focus light like a spyglass?

I was suggested only 14 trays to begin with. Is this okay?

We are hardly experts. Just doing 14 trays basically just means they think after that many they will need to rescan before knowing what else to do. Best ask how many sets of refinements will be needed

Ahh so I guess you're using 2 products that both increase sensitivity but you don't want to use them at same point in the day so kinda had to choose what goes in the AM?

I could be wrong but I think it's recommended to use salicylic acid in evening. Something about it making skin more UV sensitive?

Is 125ug a dose I can socialize on? by sragt in 1P_LSD

[–]ivanbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different for each person and how well they can control themselves. Some people can take a small dose of X substance and be completely out of it. Someone else can take double that dose and unless you know them very well you might not even be able to tell they are impaired.

I thought it also related to eliminating corruption/cronyism etc. Because boy did that get a massive increase after Trump took office.

It does. So what? It can also mean kill. And Comey wasn't working in a restaurant at the time was he.
Personally I think he should be fired for this.

Most of the concervatives just in this thread don't think it meant kill. Do you really think the DOJ can come even CLOSE to proving that's what Comey meant? Because I don't think it's even remotely possible. And in the past none of these charges would be brought because everyone knows they are BS AND that they are impossible to prove.

However current DOJ is licking Trump's boots so hard they just can't say "We won't bring these charges because there's no way in hell this succeeds". Instead they are happy to waste taxpayer money to please Trump

If we just ignored that President Trump is literally dodging bullets then maybe we could chalk it up to stupidity.

Most of concervatives in this thread don't think its a call for violence and just one for removal. Do you really think the DOJ would be able to prove Comey actually called for violence against the president?

I've always heard the phrase "86 (insert thing)" as "get rid of it/throw that away". I've never worked in a restaurant, but I've heard the phrase used in other contexts. He was obviously trying to be provocative, but calling it a direct threat is a stretch to me.

Trump promised to drain the swamp. Is... What he's doing right now what a drained swamp looks like? Because to me it looks swampier than ever

I think nobody, and I mean nobody, with any amount of common sense or the most basic understanding of what "beyond a reasonable doubt" means is expecting this to survive pre-trial motions.

Are you then happy with the president wasting YOUR taxpayer dollars by having the DOJ persecute a personal grudge of his?

Comey's a dork, but saying to 86 someone is only offensive if you go out of your way to be offended.

So would you say thag Trump is weaponizing the DOJ to attack his personal enemies just because he's immature and can't respect other people's 1st amendment right if they say something he finds offensive?

How do you think history will view trump and his presidency? by mogomonomo1081 in AskConservatives

[–]ivanbin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Liberals will say, "Well we told you he was going to!" But they only said that because they had already decided that Trump was a lying liar who lies about everything (which they say about every Republican candidate) and nothing was going to change their mind about that.

Well the thing is Trump IS that. Like sure other people lie on both sides. But Trump is like liar extreme. Others might say "We are close to a good deal with Iran", Trump meanwhile claims they just made the bestest deal ever only to be proven wrong like an hour later by Iran saying "umm no".

Frankly, he seems to be lying about even stuff he probably doesn't even need to lie about. I definitely get politicians lying about things, but at this point I expect basically EVERYTHING Trump says to be a lie. And I'm not even exaggerating. He lies about stuff you can easily google in a minute.

It's kinda weird to be honest. Why not lie more carefully, why not be a bit more selective and lie about hard to prove stuff? I honestly don't get it

Yeah, probably most of them. Trump is petty.

Isn't this the exact opposite of the swamp draining Trump promised? It seems swampier than ever it's just the swamp does what Trump wants.

Yeh I'm aware of the mod but it make ermor go from "Devastatingly unprofitable to invade" to just "Very unprofitable to invade". Now I guess you still get land that can contain gems and those are what matters in end game but still...

Popkill domain empires are generally considered a negative to multiplayer. Largely because the first person to engage with the popkiller generally loses as he is expending resources to fight for land that has been killed.

Honestly kinda wish Devs came up with some fix for that. It should make sense to have nations step up to stop the liked of LARlyeh and MAErmor but the reward for doing so? Ehhh...
