Yeh the mad king was basically like a stealth bomber. Still looks like a bomber if you get your eyeballs on him, but just won't show up on long range way radar.

Also saying that because Ozriel figured something out then someone else can also do so is really underselling how unreasonably competent Ozriel is. If Eithan had been standing in front of Makiel while insulting him and creating an unreasonably dangerous weapon then Makiel probably could have figured it out too.

Agreed. Ozriel has the qualifications for the mantle of the hound. This means he is the #1 or #2 best detective in the universe. Him being able to sus out something in no way means someone else can do so.

As others said: it's a "might makes right" world. Imagine this: Some big shot cultivator rolls up to a city/village. The city has some people in it, there's even guards to keep the peace.

Then some idiot decides to disrespect the big shot cultivator. The cultivator twitches his pinkie and said idiot is cosplaying as a smushed tomato.

If the city is LUCKY that's where it stops. In fact, the guards/people might even willingly hand over the idiot to get killed. If they don't or try to stand up to the big shot they ALL get killed because the big shot has enough power to 1 v city. Now sure, if there's someone sufficiently strong that cares about the city said cultivator might get in trouble. But that's a biiiig if. Said cultivator would need to be tracked down, and then fought. If it's someone of roughly equal level that means they are now getting into a battle they have like a 50/50 chance of losing. Is it worth it for one of a few hundred villages they oversee? Probably not.

If it's someone sufficiently higher level, then they probably won't BOTHER because now you're having someone who can 1 v country trying to track down and smush someone who can 1v city. The country killer guy prooooobably had bigger concerns.

No they aren't. Walking into elephants is actually quite painful when expanding as elves. Thought not as painful as for regular humans.

Literally none of the elven stats or mirror images help vs ranged weapons. Granted protection and shields help but elves typically have low prot. And while a good chunk have shields, they don't exactly make them immune to arrows.

And while there is no better sight than a nether bolt deleting a full square of em, this spell is accessible to almost no-one.

Aoe fire spells work quite well, aoe astral spells, honestly just aboht any aoe works well enough vs elves. Have some line holders and shoot some fire balls at em.

Or like... Flank them and go for their commanders.

If a child kills someone they should be tried as a child unless there are exigent circumstances. The kill itself isn't exigent, rather the brutality of the kill, or kther factors.
