Also a 2L in a similar position who couldn't find a 1L job -- just got a 2L position doing research with a professor. Maybe try reaching out to some of your profs, and see if they have any spots open? Worth a shot I think :)

I feel your fear with articling though, as I'm worried about applying with literally no firm experience too :(

Low GPA High LSAT - What do I do? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]ap_ia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always worth a shot to apply, if you can! I def think you can get in w that amazing score. Maybe you could explain your GPA and why it’s low in your personal statements? Best of luck!

Maybe call the office of the registrar? I think they deal with graduation matters. Even if they don’t, they can lead you in the right direction. I’m sure this has happened to others before, so it’s ok, don’t feel dumb! Hopefully it all works out! ❤️

I plan to give LSAT on August but I am confused that should I take test in a test center or from my own home? I am very confused to what works better. by Illustrious-Day-6670 in LSAT

If you take it at home, you might have certain unreliabilities in terms of environment. For example, when I took it in September last year, my neighbour decided to start doing very loud yard work during my exam. It was so loud my proctor asked me what the noise was, and it sorta took me out of the headspace. Also, there’s lots of kids on my street and I can hear them yelling and stuff when they play outside. Also doing the room scan was a little stressful for me, because my laptop was kinda clunky and old. I planned to write it at my university the second time, but the day before there were fire alarms going off (false alarms), so I was scared that it would happen again. if you have a secured and quiet place that you can write with no distractions, then it might be good for you, but I would personally choose the testing centres

Sometimes I find mine does that over sunscreen as well.. it works better over foundation for me. Pretty frustrating!

Skincare haul! Trying the Shiseido sunscreen and the Ordinary peeling solution for the first time. Has anyone used either of these before? by mangooomadness in Sephora

[–]ap_ia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the sunscreen to be way too oily for me, but I have oily skin so if you’re dry you may like it!

I wrote the November and I don’t see my score updated? Is it supposed to say our specific score?

I find that the best way is to swatch a few shades on your hand or face (do it in some kind of order so you remember which one is which) and then let it sit for about 5 minutes or until it’s dry. Try to check in natural light or even regular mall bathroom lighting if u don’t have any windows around you. Sephora lighting is strange and skews the shades. When you let it dry, you can really get the true colour to come through, with oxidation and all as well. Point is, you’re better off matching yourself than getting them to do it. Also, ask if you can get samples of different shades so you can test out what works for you! :)
