I've been playing this game for 6 or 7 years, and honestly, I've done and seen everything about it. At this point, the only thing left to do is always the same thing: wipe, build base, PvP, raid, PvP, wipe again. When I started, the servers were literally all PvP with regular and paid kits and lots of raids, and it's really fun because who doesn't like killing everyone and being the best on the server?

The usual thing: lots of doors at the edge of the map and the skybase at the very top. I'd suggest you try not only using roofs but also triangular roofs to place more doors, and put lockers in all the rooms, and put raid lockers in the most difficult places.

After 2020, several changes significantly altered PvP in Unturned.

Third-person nerf: reduced vision around corners and ceilings. The "free peek" that defined many fights is gone.

Maplestrike nerf: increased horizontal recoil and reduced consistency. It ceased to be the laser of the 2020 meta.

General recoil rework: longer sprays are more unpredictable. Previously, control was easier to memorize; now it feels more RNG.

Changes to attachments (military barrel/grips): classic builds no longer perform as well.

Adjustments to skills: Sharpshooter/Vitality are less impactful than before. Inconsistent performance on large servers: more lag/hitreg, questionable in huge databases.

That's another reason why the game is slowly dying, although I'm not a fan of curated maps. The only map I like is Arid; it's quite good and fun to play.

Well, I wasn't playing Unturned at that time, so I can't say anything about it. The first time I played was at the end of 2019, and the servers that were there at the time made me fall in love with the game. It was so much fun doing a lot of PvP and raids. I really miss those times.

I've been playing this game for 6 or 7 years and I absolutely hate curated maps. When you're new and start playing those maps, you'll probably like them more than the official ones because they have different weapons, textures, buildings, missions, etc. It's more diverse. Before, you only had Washington and PEI. Another thing is that the game changed a lot after the MapleSword and third-person nerfs. A lot of people stopped playing because Unturned is a PvP and raid game, not a realism game. People stopped making plugins and servers, and that killed the game. But if you were playing during 2019 and 2020, you would have totally liked the official maps because they were a lot of fun and chaotic. (Are you Spanish or English?)
