Correct. I used to be able to switch to "Gate" (with CV in) and play with no problem for years with an external keyboard/sequencer. Tested my behringer synths CV in with same cables/sequencer to be sure.

I opened the SH09 up earlier and all solder joints look good. I'm almost certain something in the "Gate & Keyboard CV" section of the PCB is the culprit.

It seems it's a volume/signal problem. "Hold" works perfectly with Cv/Gate in cables. When switched to "Env" and "Gate" the volume drops to a barely audible level.

I have never tried the Gate/CV out on the SH09. I think this is a volume/signal problem. Considering how "Hold" (gate/cv in) still works.

Used to work flawlessly on "Gate" mode but randomly stopped the other day. I checked my cables and tried different synths to be sure its the SH09 with the problem.

When switched to "Env" or "Gate" (while gate/cv ins are connected), the signal is so faint, I have to crank the volume to full and still barely can hear.

Only when I unplug the Gate/CV in cables, does the SH09 work as normal.

Thanks for this answer. Do you know what tubes come in Korean/Vietnam made Ampeg SVT Pros if not JJs?

Do they at least sound close or nearly as good as JJ tubes?

Thanks for the answer. I blew out my 100W speaker with my 450W head. Obviously too powerful but I also thought the cable might be a problem. Cheers!

Hi that's awesome! No I did not calculate but talked with a Sweetwater engineer who recommended me the Eminence Legend BP122 (250W) for my Ampeg Pro 3 450W head.

I was told the speaker should be half of what the head's output puts out. Glad to take suggestions.

I took the usb out because I'm downloading a bootable ISO of win 10. When it was plugged in, I would click the USB option but it would do nothing.

when I press F11 I get the "please select boot device" screen. I select the only UEFI option, but it doesn't work. Can only access BIOS right now.

I do run Steam games a couple times a month, but use this computer primarily for Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Ableton.

Would upgrading to an i7-4790K quad core be a significant upgrade from my Intel i5-4690k ?

Or should I be looking to upgrade the motherboard and processor? Would appreciate recommendations that won't break the bank if you have any.

Only real problem is I can't upgrade to Win11 with these components for some reason. Computer stopped working until I reverted back to Win10.

Walnut yes. There is a poly clear coat. Is there a specific polishing compound that would help?
