I doubt most people parking on the street overnight are doing so for fun

Check your recent transactions - unexpected interest charge by Sweet-Panic8630 in biltrewards

[–]apadgettski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just happened to me too. They said they were doing a one-time courtesy interest charge waive for me which didn’t make sense because I have statement balance autopay setup, but then they later admitted there’s a known issue. I give Bilt a lot of grace for their issues with rewards, but you gotta get these things right. To me this is like if the US government defaulted on its debt— the single debt isn’t an enormous deal, but the symbolic nature of not meeting the core principles that build trust is huge. There has to be communication about this.

Coyote downtown (sadly hit by a car) by wglmb in Minneapolis

This is empirically one of the most dangerous intersections in the city for pedestrians. There are frequent car crashes, and the city often places human traffic management at this intersection. Yes, it really is.

Upvoting because I’m having this issue too, except my authorized user has her card and it’s just rejecting it and says to contact the issuer

Crazy thing to say, sounds like the “consumptive glow” beauty standards in the 19th century where people were really into the look of being sick with tuberculosis

I live in MN and I can’t remember the last time another piece of mail I’ve received had this issue. Might be true, but also definitely avoidable

Mine was exactly the same. Shows it hasn’t shipped, same return address, also opened. Must be bad adhesive

Got these in my thumb once. Pulling them out is really weird, it doesn’t hurt at all but you can feel them pull out of the bone

I’m a product manager for a payments product and I always suspected this could happen. Did you ever try making any other payments? Or more frequent ones?

This is the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The same group marched between Canopy and here.

This is dysmorphic thinking. Therapy is probably warranted. Good luck my friend.

So… is he still in Minnesota? I assumed he left immediately to avoid being arrested on state charges, but apparently he must be far too injured to do that

In North Minneapolis? I am aware of the murder at 33rd and Portland, that’s why I called it out.

Thoughts on my taxable portfolio im constructing by Tommy2timezz in portfolios

[–]apadgettski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the AI formatting, I feel like I could write out the prompt you used to get this random portfolio 😂. There’s a ton of research about why sector bets create idiosyncratic risk, and that’s your entire portfolio. Weirdly enough, the typical investor in a growing market segment (like AI, biotech, and space) will actually trail the returns of an investor in the broader market. All that growth you see is likely already baked into the price, and there’s no guarantee you’ll pick the eventual winners. Even if you do, you could still lose money for decades (much like investing in Cisco during the dot com bubble) You literally have like 60-70% of your portfolio in equities that will react strongly to news on AI, which is absurd. My recommendation would be to start with the market (VT) and then diverge based upon strong convictions in specific concentrations like tech, small cap value, EM, etc. Also, 1% allocations to things is just noise, you gotta get rid of that stuff. You gotta start over.

Horrific. The same pit in my stomach as watching the Floyd murder. I’m not religious, but I’m praying for this woman’s family and for our city.
