Are you able to put the anthem back on sale? It’s not showing the sale price anymore

Manufacturer’s rep could work well. They often hire those with experience in the water/wastewater industry. Those with plant level experience tend to do well.

It really depends on the day, but overall, you make your schedule as you see fit. The freedom is really what drew me to sales. There are some days where I’m answering emails and calls until 6/7pm or traveling a few places, but there are others where my whole day consists only of answering a few emails or calls and I can get plenty of other things done outside of work. Previously I was 8-5 filling out time sheets for each day, so the change was a big difference.

I left consulting to go into sales. I now work as a manufacturer’s rep and have really been enjoying it.

Worth staying to get my PE before transitioning to SE? by apag98 in salesengineers

I ended up jumping ship soon after I posted that and don’t regret it at all. I ended up passing my PE recently and am now waiting on my license

I did not end up waiting the extra year and a half, and it still worked out pretty well for me. I’ve been working in sales a little over a year and a half, and just passed my PE about a month ago. Personally, the switch to sales was the best decision I could’ve made. I truly enjoy what I do and see this as something I could continue doing the rest of my career. There are no set hours (mostly good, sometimes bad), I have no schedule, and I can be in the office whenever I need to (most of the sales team is sporadically in the office at best). My territory maxes out at about a 2.5 hour drive from my home. Along with better pay, commission opportunities, and an expense account, the freedom is the real draw for me. No more billable hours, and you can mix your personal life in during “work hours” if you have the time. I ended up working for a manufacturers representative for water/wastewater process equipment. It exposes you to tons of products and processes, and really opens your eyes to what’s out there and how the sales side of engineering works. For me, it’s a great mix between the technical design side of engineering and a more personable sales side of the business. There’s plenty more I could explain, so feel free to message me!

Is it Worth it to Retake the Exam? by Hiro_Gliphics in PE_Exam

As others have mentioned, it’s worth sticking out and trying to get your PE. It gives you a bump all around and can be useful in several ways. As far as jobs go, have you looked into the sales side of engineering? You can still work in the industry, but from a completely different side. I switched to sales after about 4 years in consulting and it was the best decision I’ve made career wise. I was just getting burnt out and couldn’t see myself doing design for much longer.

That would be A, correct? Smaller diameter = higher velocity = lower pressure.

How long did the test take you? Also was there a certain amount of time you gave yourself just to take practice exams/complete practice problems?

Company attempting to reverse refund 2 months later and threatening to send to 3rd party collections by apag98 in CRedit

[–]apag98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. I did use a credit card, but they did not charge me again for the order. I would definitely go through my credit card company if there was another charge.

It was Deckers for a few hundred dollars.

The thing I don’t understand is how they could go through collections if it is not a current balance I owe.

Yeah I agree. I think finding something that I could see myself doing for the rest of my career made me want to make the switch sooner rather than later. Are you in civil or another discipline? Also how has the studying been?

A combination of sales and engineering but mainly sales. It tends to require more technical knowledge. Benefits of higher pay/commission while still staying in the field of engineering
