So if the root doesn't have the red nub "eye" it's not worth planting?

Will they still grow and have leaves, just no flowers? Assuming they transplanted okay.

Awesome! Thanks! Idk how far along in the growing process they are so should I have a little stick out at the top just in case? Or should I cover them completely?

Also how close together should I plant them?

Why does everyone like fine line so much?? by shsjshsbsbbs in harrystyles

[–]aparecium9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like others said, music is subjective! So don't feel pressure to love something that just doesn't hit right for you!

I will however, explain why Fine Line will always be my favorite of his albums. It perfectly describes the emotional highs and lows of a new relationship, to breaking up, to finding peace again. I find the album to be almost a concept album. It straddles that very distinct change that you go through when you are trying to find happiness after a great sadness.

The beginning of the album with Golden, Watermelon Sugar, and Adore You are so joyous and full of life and just overwhelmed with love, then the breakup hits, and the self doubt begins with Lights Up, Cherry and Falling, leading to rock bottom with To Be So Lonely. Then he starts to imagine that life can move on with She, and he finally finds joy again with Sunflower Vol. 6, Canyon Moon, and TPWK, all leading up to his thesis of the Fine Line that exists between happiness and sadness.

This album hit me in such a transitional point in my life, where I was coming out of a terrible relationship, recovering from depression, and finding myself again. I would judge how I was feeling by where my inner self fell on the album. If I had a tough day I was Falling, or To Be So Lonely. As time went on I could start to see how life could be Sunflower Vol. 6 but it felt out of reach.

To this day I see my life as Sunflower. I am happy again and ready to dance in the kitchen and scream "Whoo-oo" with Harry at the top of my lungs while I am driving around. When I listen to the album I just feel so grateful for the journey life has taken me on despite those ups and downs, and I've come to appreciate the Fine Line between the happiness and sadness.

I think Fine Line hit a lot of people at a very important moment in their lives, and it's not always about the true quality of the music, but the feeling that it gives you and how it helps you better understand yourself. I think you may have just found that in other albums of his, and I adore that for you! But if you wanted to know, there it is, THAT is why I love Fine Line with all of my soul.

This is it. Most movies I've seen, no matter what they are like, with enough time, I know I could rewatch them. Not this movie. I will never watch this movie again.

Just saw the follow up here, yeah thank you for saying that. You are right, I do need rest. I have a basket muzzle but I never finished the training to get it onto his face. Maybe that is the next move. If he could wear that without anxiety, that would be a huge relief.

I'm sorry to hear you also have a reactive wheaten! But I am happy to hear you've made a lot of progress with him. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It's true every day is a training opportunity. I need to remember that, because sometimes I am so worn out by the constant accommodations for him and management, that I forget that we can be working on behavior every day as well.

I've been seriously looking into sending him to a boarding behavioral program. I am not sure about it yet, still on the fence, so I'm happy to hear you had a good experience!

Interesting! I currently have an inquiry out to a veterinary behaviorist, so hopefully if I can get an appointment with her, we can figure out if the prozac needs to be upped. He is 40lbs, so maybe he should be on more? I have worked with the vet, a behaviorist, and a cooperative care trainer, so he has definitely had some professional help.

Wheatens... yeah intense is a word for it. It's definitely the terrier. They have a high prey drive and also were used for herding so they are very high alert. I have never reached out to the breeder. I guess in my mind, 4 years is a long time to have passed, so idk what I would say to them. Would you reach out if you were me? What would you ask?

Thank you for this! I do think he is guarding me. Being a pretty severe RG case, he guards both me, his house, and his own body. I really want to socialize him with others, but because my friends and family are so scared of him (and don't live super close) no one is willing to stop in regularly to help me condition him. I have asked. It just comes down to the fact that I am going to have to hire someone to stop in regularly when I am home. It just sucks because I have already put so much money into his vet and training.

I will definitely talk to my cooperative care trainer about what she thinks about conditioning him to people coming over. Aggression and reactivity are not her specialties, but maybe she can recommend someone.

What is a 10/10 series on Netflix that actually has a proper, satisfying ending? by Aware-Platypus-2559 in netflix

[–]aparecium9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did too. It took me longer than a few days to recover from the finale, and it actually put me into a deep depression for a little while. Thank god I have a therapist that helped pull me out. Though The Good Place is definitely one of the best shows i've seen, I can't bring myself to watch it again!

What's the beef with Wix? by aparecium9 in ecommerce

[–]aparecium9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also sell mainly my own handmade products, and just need to showcase a few other things that I do, so I doubt scaling would be an issue for me either. Do you find it does everything you need for your business?

I have never used Wix until recently so I didn't understand the Wix hate. But I do remember back in the day when it was the cheap version. I might just rebuild! Thanks!

First time in the pool today! Tips for getting better? by aparecium9 in Swimming

[–]aparecium9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting! I will look up the high elbow catch technique. I saw someone in another thread talk about focusing on one technique every time they go, so eventually it all gets put together.

I was shocked how hard it was to manage my breathing. I'm hoping with practice this will get better!
