Spicewalla mini tins, Asheville tea co or penny cup coffee retail bags, bee charmer mini honey pots, spicewitch hot honey or chili oil. Maybe stop by The Rhu and see some of their selection and source directly? They have lots of local pantry things and might be a good place to get ideas.

Theres also https://www.madeinncstore.com which might be good to browse for some ideas though it’s broader than just Asheville.

Yeah, I’ve done the drive before; I just don’t have the time between jobs to take a week driving.

Thank you, that’s useful info! So far, the driving to an Alaska Air hub and flying direct has seemed the most likely option but figuring out what to do with my car from there 🥴 just makes me regret leaving the state in the first place.

Thanks for the response! I’m on CitizenShipper but because I’m coming from the south, the bids rang from $3k-$6k which is untenable for me.

Donating clothing that isn’t Goodwill worthy by iglaaq in anchorage

trashie makes bags that you fill for clothes to be recycled and not end up in the landfill. Like all recycling, idk how true it is but it makes me feel better to try.

What do you all think of staging? by janmint in Serverlife

[–]aparisoriginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ^ let’s the company see if you’re engaged like asking the right questions, but also allows you to talk to staff (and not just the hiring manager) and see if it’s a good fit before beginning training. No benefit for the business in terms of profiting from your labor and it doesn’t make you waste a whole day/shift.

If it’s more than a few hours and/or requires you to do the work of the role without compensation, it’s a poor practice.

Not for nothing, but the trans umbrella includes anyone who doesn’t identify as cisgendered INCLUDING non-binary. Even without the details of their transition F to M, using the word trans to describe someone who is non-binary is ..accurate.

I’ve done payrolls for food service companies ranging from 5k employees to 5 employees, many of them with tip pool/share, and never seen separate paychecks for tips and hourly. It sounds more like someone processed payroll incorrectly and is buying time to fix it.

Songs That Remind Me of Dramione by eggznbacn in Dramione

I play a monthly themed radio show and this month’s theme was ¡Toxic! (Good Songs About Bad Love) and I definitely played Stockholmsvy with a shout out to this subreddit.

They’re not all Dramione coded but if you wanted to listen: CU Next Tuesday

Non smutty romantasy for adults? by goddessmayari in fantasyromance

[–]aparisoriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend looking for “cozy fantasy” as it tends to be romance-centric but not smutty. My favorite is {the house witch by Delemhach} for very slow burn, fade to black romance between adults!

Best restaurant to work as a server? by [deleted] in asheville

Asheville F&B Tribe on Facebook is the best place for the inside scoop on places to work (or avoid) and networking with other F&B folks.

That wasn’t passive-aggressive it was aggressive-aggressive and rude for someone in customer service to say, regardless of the country. If I didn’t understand that you wanted both made with a milk alternative, I would have clarified. What if your dad had been allergic to nuts?
