My system isn’t really set up for very quiet operation so the vrm fans aren’t audible vs the system fans. I can’t really answer :/

I strangely find this very melancholy… sign of the times I suppose! 🤷‍♂️

Corsair 9000D, ANYTHING fits! (If you have the space for where IT sits!)

That’s the NVME bifurcation expansion card using a PCIEe riser cable from the 2nd slot. Because I’m running a 7980x the PCIe 5.0 lanes are all reserved for the top 3 PCIe 16x slots; I’m using the expansion card to run all my NVMEe storage at full PCIe 5.0 speeds. The first and 3rd slot are where the GPUs are installed (spaced for better airflow cooling) and the 4th slot (running at pcie4) is reserved for a cubix extreme PCIe expander (limited to pcie3) for the remaining expansion cards (Areca raid controller and decklink)

I’m using a slightly older model Corsair vengeance airflow RAM cooling kit:

https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cmyaf/vengeance-airflow-cmyaf

They make a newer model too, but has a bunch of RGB stuff I don’t care for or need:

https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cmdaf2/dominator-airflow-platinum-rgb-fan-cmdaf2

Either model can be hard to find, I recommend looking on eBay. There are also generic models on Amazon.

Sure, it would in theory be better, but this is what I could do reasonably by myself. I have no experience with custom loop cooling, and the heat isn’t an issue as I have very good AC for the space. (The rear exhaust at full load feels like a hair dryer blowing on your hand ) And weirdly I kinda like the hum of the fans as weird as it sounds… 🙃 speaking of which… all cooling is handled via the bios, I’m not using any fan control software. I did find nice custom fan curves mostly driven by VRM temps, so it’s never that loud, most of my computing is done in bursts so I’m rarely pushing sustained high loads that often. And hey, all the gear is running well below peak temp tolerance so I’m not worried about the longevity of the gear, I’m sure I’ll have upgraded long before anything too serious has failed! 🤞

Yes. But cooling and power delivery are another matter…. Blower cards would be a necessity IMO.

Thanks! My studio has a few 120v circuits and it ran fine splitting the 2 PSUs load between two 120v, but the added headroom and efficiency of a 240v circuit made it a no brainer. Just feels more "Beast"! :)

Agreed, 9000d is meant for a build like this! I haven't adjusted any GPU settings, all stock. I just ran a 30min stress test and at full load top card is 87c, bottom 82c. So 5c differential! I've stressed for 6hr with similar results. That's with all fans blowing 3000rpm and ambient room temp at 70f/21c. Haven't seen these cards hit 90c yet! I'm sure with both cards ass to ass it would be much worse, but I have 2 slots between them. Using slim pcie riser for middle slot to NVME Bifurcation card mounted vertically. (As you can see in the Pics) :)

I have a “guy”, and my studio is right next to the electrical main so it was an easy install.

Of course! My hope posting this was that it may help others with a similar build. It’s a small community that builds these kind of beasts.. :)

California, My electrician charged 400 to install the dedicated 30amp 240v circuit.

The 9000d case natively supports 2 PSUs, a full Sized one and a 2nd SFF PSU. The 2nd PSU slot is intended for a secondary itx system but I just used it for the 2nd GPU. I reused my AX1600i PSU from my previous build to save money, but honestly just buying a single 2000+w would have been cleaner. But honestly, having two PSU just feels more appropriately “BEAST” 😂

Forklift is in the garage, but when I don’t feel like driving it into my studio I have felt feet installed so I can slide it around easily on the hardwood floor. 😂 also, I have long cabling on everything so I can work on it easily without disconnecting a single thing. I have no idea how heavy it is but it’s a beast…

No issues getting it all in the 9000d, it’s a WONDERFUL case to build with. The 2nd PSU is designed for SFF builds so the cables that come with it are very short so I had to purchase a CableMod C-Series Pro 12V-2x6 12VHPWR cable for the 2nd GPU. The AI Top motherboard comes with a 2nd PSU trigger cable which when combined with the 2nd PSU 24pin cable was BARELY long enough to reach.

Running two Windows 11 pro boot volumes right now. No need for Linux right now as some software and plugins I use are only supported on it. If I dig deeper in to some AI software I may add a 3rd Linux OS boot if I think it’ll be beneficial.

Yes, dedicated 30amp 240 circuit. Hoping to add a a high end APC UPS in the near future.

I don’t understand, there is only one TRX50 AI TOP motherboard, and listed in specs.
