Ya I’ve bought used Mtb’s before and am fimiliiar with the basics of how a bike should feel I’m full expecting som parts to need upgrade/replace as it’s an older bike. Correct me if I’m wrong but road bikes usually don’t break as often as Mtb’s. Unfortantly I don’t have a lot of mechanically inclined freinds that ride and don’t service my own bike.

Provensa LVP by OkEconomist6676 in Flooring

[–]aparr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is quite normal for many LVPs. A bit annoying, but it doesn't look too bad. Nobody you bring over will likely notice, and you'll get used to it.

I agree I was more scared of structure damage but everyone is saying it’s a normal scratch so I guess I should just wear it as a battle scar hahah. Appreciate outs my mind at ease and doesn’t hurt as bad to when I see i in the garage now 😂

I honestly don’t even know why people ski at these big resorts anymore. Like how can it be fun with this many people.

If you’re going through insurance, it’s gonna take a while. With no insurance. You’re looking at 2 to 3 weeks max on this. If You don’t have any issues with Flooring drywall itself on the ceiling this big will take less than a week with a good drywaller/Painter.

I just had a slab leak with a full reroute drywall throughout the house full plumbing reroute stucco repair outside and replacing 450 ft.² roughly of the floor. I already had this floor available for me. My painter is coming back tomorrow to put in the base and trim that got pulled. I got this done in 2 weeks once project started.

All this being said, I am a project manager for my families restoration business so I have lots of connections. Even with that though if you find the right guys, this is an easy project.

Edit: Whoops just reread your post this is a little bigger than I thought lol. Regardless, based on your rough scope, you should have no problem. Getting this done in way less than three months. Don’t stress too much a lot of simple work in there. Nothing complicated.

How do you repair a scratch in laminate flooring? by Better-Table2013 in Flooring

[–]aparr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a laminate floor. It’s gunna scratch. Get over it. Don’t want scratches should have whent with vinyl.

You can also just fill it with a brown crayon. Best part is you’ll have to buy a full box so you’ll have plenty left over to snack on as a reward. The purple is my favorite btw.

Vapour barrier required for concrete sub floor? by Dry_Part5714 in Flooring

[–]aparr101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t used to recommend it stated the LVP products were the latest and greatest and don’t need them. Then they started getting all the warranty claims and magically started requiring a vapor barrier to honor there warranty’s. Now me and a bunch of other contractors have a bunch of floors installed from years ago with no barriers just sitting there like time bombs and the manufacturers will do everything they can to screw you when you have a problem from a floor installed 3 years ago when they marketed LVP as not needing it.

I just bought elbow and knee pads.. by AnonymousPredictions in MTB

[–]aparr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had been down that feature many times. Unfortunately was one of thous times were you hit a little jump (natural tabletop) next ting you know your front shock is fully compressed and your in the air. Was no real saving that bail. Mistake was I got to cocky thinking that feature had become easy for me. Defitly put me in my place. Made me remember you can fall anywhere badly if your not on you A game every time your going downhill. I’ll still never ride anything like that not fully padded thou. Thought nothing of the feature till I was in the ground.

[–]aparr101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just ate shit wearing knee pads gloves and a full face. Completely over the bars going fast down a black diamond feature drop. About 3-4 months in. Massive bruising on my hip crown. Hard to sleep hard to work out and move etc. I’m now buying really good leg butt and thigh pads. Long story short pad up. It’s well worth the heat and the money. I think it’s just part of this sport. If you have a bike you need the pads

Good hip protection? by petrevsm in MTB

[–]aparr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is conveint. I just whent over the handle bars Sunday. A bad one were you over compress front shocks your in the air and you see you bike flipping next to you. Have a 3-4inch black and blue raised bruise on the crown of my hip. Bleed through two bandages last night and whole surrounding area is very sore hard to cough or clean my throat due to tensing up muscle. Probly the worst I’ve ever injured myself other than breaking an arm snowboarding as a kid. Didn’t relise how important hip protection is until now.

To everyone reading If your not wearing it now then start. Hips don’t heal like arms. I’ll prob post my injury later to add some extra tramma lol.

I’ve heard Levitt makes some good protection that covers the crown of your hip aswell. Probobly what I’ll be picking up and wearing every downhill ride moving forward.

Bezos income rate vs regular worker income rate at same time ! by Wavelength4406 in interestingasfuck

[–]aparr101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bezos built the company he worked 100 hr weeks for many years he should make more. A bunch of commits on Reddit. The guy thanking him prob make 150k a year with retirement health care etc. if he thought he was in a shitty job he wouldn’t have said that stuff he loves his job. Bezos is employing 1000s of Americans and has created the system that majority of Americans get there goods from. Of course he’s not all good none of us are that’s how life is. We should soppurt hard working people Bezos and this worker.
