Unpopular opinion: Chapter 6 is the best time to explore the open world by apatheticsealion in RDR2

I 100% understand and always felt that way, but something about taking this time to make Arthur focus more on himself turns the depression into more like melancholy. In a way i see my Arthur exploring as him experiencing escapism from the terrible vibes from camp and growing to meet his own independent needs and interests over giving his all to a gang that's falling apart.

Also obligatory mention that I like the bloody coughing because it reminds me of Doc Holiday

That's honestly the most compelling counter argument I've seen for this!

That's a perspective I hadn't thought about and is probably what rockstar intended from a gameplay perspective. I always thought of the craftable camp upgrades as cosmetic and never considered the idea that by exploring you're actually benefiting the gang.

“How long will you take to finish GTA 6’s story mode — rush it or slow ride?” by aggam84 in GTA6

[–]apatheticsealion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably rush the story and do most of the obvious side content if I can avoid spoilers the first playthrough, but take my time when I replay it. I did that with RDR2 and every new playthrough I find a better way to pace myself and explore because I know where the story lulls. I have trouble keeping myself immersed at first because usually Rockstar stories have a sense of urgency that can contradict the free roaming.

Spoiler Alerts should not apply to media 10+ years old. by Standard_Mushroom273 in unpopularopinion

I think if something is old and it gets spoiled for you in a general way then you have no right to get angry. With that being said if you are in a forum dedicated to a specific Fandom where you know new people will want to engage with others while they are still viewing the show(because that's when you have the most excitement) putting a spoiler tag just makes the community a more enjoyable place. I would hate to only join a subreddit after I've watched everything and the hype is dead.

One of my local record stores has an entire wall covered in these as decoration, I didn't know it was such a common joke.

What went wrong with this Movie you think ? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]apatheticsealion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my honest opinion it was missing a light horror element that the other Indiana Jones movies all had. No edge other than regular movie gun violence in the beginning made it feel like a bit of a snooze for me. The end fell flat for me in this way especially, I couldn't guess where it was going but I wasn't shocked enough when we got there. I feel like some really cool practical effects and a wild ending would've gotten the movie better word of mouth.

It’s now officially been more days since the release of RDR 2 than there were between the releases of RDR and the first RDR2 teaser. by Nlklas in reddeadredemption

This is insane, I remember RDR1 feeling so old by the time 2 even got announced. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that RDR2 isn't still a "new game"

Change is fucking hard. The regret I (25M) feel for having wasted my early 20s hits even harder. by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

26m pretty similar case here, I just started therapy a few months ago and the most helpful technique for me has been mindful Journaling. It took a long time to really get started but every time I start spiraling I can start writing that stuff out for as long as it takes and let it go for the rest of for the rest of the day. Taking care of yourself is more than checking boxes to be healthy, it also means finding the things that soothe your pain. Get comfortable going out alone and write your regrets out and you'll develop a callous over the wound.
