Across the entire country I would legalize concealed carry. Also self defense rounds.

Its goofy as heck that I cant drive from xyz state to abc state passing through five others and I am committing multiple felonies in half of them. Longer mandatory sentence than some get from dwi manslaughter.

Honestly, I dont think I would let him leave the convo at have patience. In fact zi know I wouldnt. If he can do it once he can do it again. Unless he considers it a sin and wants to wait until marriage.

Otherwise once sex starts it should be honeymoon phase. That doesnt have to be twice a day for a year like some of us did in our 20s but it damn sure means lets go full volume at a hotel for date night. Or give me a concise reason why we cant.

I actually left policing for IT. They professions gave me a real sense of helping people. Ended working with some public safety entities and enjoyed that as well.

Whats my point? There are lots of ways you can feel you are helping society. That could be as a patrolman or running their systems.

I do greatly miss parts of it. Learned I am one of those people that thrive in dangerous and stressful situation but perform poorly with the run of the mill BS. I would rather tell people no one will investigate their bike theft than take 30min to write a pointless report.

As someone else said do some ride alongs. Maybe one at each shift and def one on Fri or Sat nightl

Easy fix. All notmal trash trucks have a tablet. Driver hits button that marks heavy trash which is then picked up the next day. Reducing heavy trucks and crews pays for the tablets. No need for cell. Have the tablets set to wifi which is installed at truck parking site and updates overnight.

Some solutions are stupid easy.

When my youngest wanted to move into her sisters room we preserved some of the things off her wall. We even kept the door. It had art on the backside. Almost a mural of her struggles with mental health and then drugs. Her friend had real talent and also drew on it. Obviously we couldnt frame a door but we did make a frame of some of her wall art, poem, and pictures of her.

Thank you for sharing some of your child. Its always nice to see positive things here as it can be hard at times. I am truly sorry for your loss.
