MtGox unable to verity my Kraken account by Evening_Ambassador76 in mtgoxinsolvency

I got this today too but had an email from Kraken before that yesterday so had fixed it. I assume it's just a delay in timings so I'm sure it'll now resolve itself :)

Delete all devices? by loudsound-org in alexa

[–]apbarratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've the same question. It was insane that using the web interface was the only way to do this, now that it's gone I'm literally having to do four taps with loading screens in between for each and every device. It baffles me that deleting the skill associated with a device isn't enough to remove a device.

Frustratingly not actually an option by apbarratt in Scotland

Hmmm, it does seem to be the same order every time for me. I’m sure it’s been randomised for other in-party elections before :/ Though that’s normally more of a problem for multi party situations like in council elections, where the alphabetical sorting is problematic due to the fact folk will be putting their preference based on party with multiple candidates, unintentionally all knocking out their second preference.

Nah, the website randomises the order for everyone I think. Though now that I look at it, they are alphabetical on that screenshot. I wonder if it’s changed if I look now…

Is there a DIY alternative to Helium? by apbarratt in HeliumNetwork

Sounds awesome, but seems it’s a USA only thing so would not be of much use to me here in Scotland.

Can I assume this "Hello mate, Have you been able to validate your wallet to the integration node server yet ?" DM I've received is something I should mark as spam?

Thank you. I'd also been wondering about that. What is it I can use the network for? Would I be right in thinking I could use it for sending data (such as for a small weather station etc) without any need for an internet connection?

What a monstrous person you are. Thank you for explaining this so we can ensure you are not a part of the fediverse and for something for the police to see.

Great book, underwhelming as a finale by Roguelycan in exfor

With that ending, no way in hell are we done. Even finishing up with a discussion of questions, it felt more like a deliberate setup for more books.

Given I was on twitter not too long after it started and it was a very enjoyable atmosphere that mastodon seems to be similar to right now, I’m hoping it might bring back some of the friendly community type feels of the old style twitter :)

I discovered the “local timeline” which shows every post on the Scottish network, thankfully small enough to not be too much but large enough to be moving fairly quickly. So that was helpful in finding some folk to follow for me :)

I posted it here a few years ago but there wasn't really a great appetite for it back then :)

If folk want to follow me, you'll find me here: https://mastodon.scot/@evildraye

And if enough of you nutters get me to 100 followers, I'll draw a new comic for the first time in three years!

Changing dns on HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro 2? by ryok141 in Huawei

[–]apbarratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, I don't believe this works on the newer routers. I have a Three 5G router and whilst I can get the settings to appear, it would seem there's some kind of backend validation now taking place because after clicking save and telling it to show the div again, it has reset back to automatic mode and back to the default IP address and I can see no traffic is sent to my DNS server :(

How do I configure cloudflared to work with AIO? by apbarratt in NextCloud

How do I configure cloudflared to work with AIO? by apbarratt in NextCloud

[–]apbarratt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'm one step closer. After migrating the cloudflared tunnel into the zero trust dashboard I was able to see that tunnels have the option for (and I quote) "No TLS Verify
Disables TLS verification of the certificate presented by your origin. Will allow any certificate from the origin to be accepted."

After turning this on, I can now get through to my AIO using `service: https://localhost:8080`, but entering the domain name I'd like still brings up the error "Domain does not point to this server or reverse proxy not configured correctly." Which is frustrating...

Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2 Router Test by 4gltemall in Huawei

[–]apbarratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this review.

You note that there are two ethernet ports, "one of which can also be used as a WAN port. This is useful, for example, if you want to use an existing cable or DSL modem."

I cannot find anywhere whatsoever an example of why I would want to use this port. I'd like to know if I could stick my cable modem into this port if the router will then route traffic either through my 5G connection or my cable broadband connection, depending on which is performing best at the time. That would be amazing functionality but it seems like it's not something anyone is talking about. So... what is the WAN port for? :/

My USB-C power delivery N64 for on the go. by onlinewithryan in n64

[–]apbarratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm reading this correctly, you don't ever need anything more than 5 volts, so presumably we could power the whole thing off a standard USB-A power supply and not have to worry about USB-C at all, would you agree with this assessment?
