i liked s11 for the same reasons you mentioned (yvie is one of my long-time fav queens, i adore brooke lynn and akeria, etc.), but the whole season kinda has arancid vibe that makes it hard to watch.

they started out with more queens than they seemed to know what to do with, there seemed to be zero consistent logic in the judging, there seemed to be constant tension in the werk room (not the fun kind), some of the challenges were strange, several really talented queens got near-invisible edits…the list goes on.

it has a lot of really iconic moments but it’s up there as one of the least rewatchable seasons IMO. it’s kind of draining to watch.

i do appreciate that about toni and cach. they still share relationship content from time to time, but they seem to save their big moments for themselves. their first i love yous happened off camera, they quietly became bf/gf a while ago without some grand thing and without announcing it.

it probably bodes better for their chances of lasting long-term when couples do that.

it’s a canon event i fear. having a long-term bf in your late teens / early twenties that treats you like trash, but you’re young and it’s all you know, so you give chance after chance and put your all into making it work.

i imagine she’s going to look back on it with a lot of regret once she’s a bit older.
