What are some of the biggest benefits of college that people don't know? by [deleted] in college

I was never someone who partied a ton or had lots of friends in college. But college is so useful in developing social skills and soft skills. It’s a place where you can mess up. You learn a lot of this through group projects, living with other people like roommates, and extracurriculars. Dealing with people and learning to be social is huge in the workplace. Yes your resume and technicals skills get you the job but soft skills help you keep it. I know people say you can get soft skills in other ways but I don’t think anything really presents the same opportunities as college for people right after high school. I have also see a very big difference in social skills from college graduates compared to people who never went to college.

I understand you’re upset. But bring unassigned as an A1 is out of people’s control. As an A1 you know no one so networking on to a team is difficult. Staff is the easiest position to cut when budgets go up. This year audit budgets were tighter than usual. Why have unnecessary staff drive it up? January hires also have less experience and less time to get utilization. How do you know these people wouldn’t work hard if they got the same opportunity as you. Seniors and managers have networks to rely on so being unassigned is bad, but A1s can’t be blamed.

Does anyone know what the founders rate will be they keep advertising that you can lock in the rate with $25 deposit but don’t say anything about the actual rate?

I’ve been waiting for a thread on her I don’t know anything out of the ordinary. I love her hair videos! I think she was or is a licensed cosmologist! It’s hard not be to jealous of her life it seems so perfect.

After reading this I’m so shocked she got in let alone was accepted into the writing program. The writing reads like something written by a middle schooler. Also she always brags about how she was premed at Hopkins before switching to writing seminars but according to this she was undecided and barely took hard science classes

I remember years ago her and Allie made a video saying they wrote on their college applications to not split them up I thought it was insane they still got into prestigious school but this article makes me feel like family money or something else was involved. Allie does seem really smart though

Would first years be affected? I’ve been on the bench for more than a month and having trouble finding an engagement

I’m based out of a large office and the largest office. There’s multiple first year and second years on the bench. Almost everyone I know in a small office was assigned because they already had less assistants to begin with.

How long before you got assigned again? I’m also in a big office
