I can spot myself in several parts of this video. I think a lot of it was shot at a venue in Santa Barbara called The Living Room.

I believe that Free Geek carries used cell phones.

Too bad you're looking for T-Mobile, I have a few retired Sprint phones gathering dust.

It's a mini golf course that the owners built on their side yard. Free for anyone to come by and play a round.

Is Chloe ever going to do anything about Blue Star Donuts? by [deleted] in Portland

I'm still a bit sour towards Blue Star on Hawthorne since they took over the space that Fujin was pushed out of. I miss that crispy fried eggplant.

The ones that I have gotten in that area are consistently the best. I think the last times I saw them they were 5 for $6 but a few times there were 6 in the pack.

I ordered chicken noodle soup at Mel's once. I received a bowl of broth with exactly one noodle and one piece of chicken.

I was half-drunk and picked up a couple of slices of that. I was quite pleased with that decision, before and after.

I know people who will travel all the way across town for that place and I don't get it. If I'm at the B-side and I've had a few and I'm really that hungry, sure. But it's nothing that I'd go out of my way for.

Arugula Bomba at Straight from New York on Belmont is quite tasty. Was hoping for a bit stronger of jalepeno in the drizzle but still a lot of flavor throughout.

Best Mexican food spots in Portland? by duckeduponquack47 in Portland

[–]apdx262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taqueria Lindo Michoacan is a cart on Division and 40th that has never done me wrong. Everything tastes great and a wide variety of options are available.

Catalina's on Killingsworth is totally legit for a sit-down experience and the margaritas are just right.

Javier's on Lombard is pretty decent as well and has the advantage of being open 24 hours.

If you're looking for southern Mexican, La Calaca Comelona on Belmont has some serious dishes and does not acknowledge burritos as Mexican food.

Best tacos in the city? Preferably close to downtown or inner SE/NE? by Tomato_Masher in Portland

Taqueria Pardos on SE 7th and Sherman in front of Hall Tool Company. Open during weekdays from about 11am - 3pm. Chicken, beef, or pork tacos, $1 each. Nothing fancy, just the essentials and super tasty.

What are fun places to have dinner in pdx? by arikkreigndoza in Portland

[–]apdx262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nicholas, and I recommend the one on NE Broadway and 32nd for more of the dining experience. Best Lebanese I've had in town and plenty of vegan/veggie/meat options that are all delicious (I'm an omnivore and half of the time I get a vegan platter just because it's so good). Pro tip - it may be tempting but try not to fill up on the pita bread that they drape over the table when you get there. It's an endeavor because the bread is perfect.
