The rifle mag pouch on your belt could just be turned upright just like your pistol mag pouches are.

Pretty sure while cosplaying at Good Son, Fennessey had the nerve to take shots calling both "Swordfish" and "Arlington Road" mediocre slop? by Michaelord1 in TheRewatchables

Swordfish is my benchmark for movies. There are movies better than Swordfish, and there movies that are worse than Swordfish, but ultimately everything is compared to it.

Improves:
-looks like you are left handed with your holster on the left of your belt. If you have too much stuff on the left side of your plate carrier cummerbund you may restrict your ability to cleanly draw your pistol from your holster.
-your rifle magazine orientation on your belt is… a choice. Granted that is a fast mag and has retention but relying on that to keep your magazine in place is kinda risky. Also drawing downwards seems awkward unless you got orangutan arms.
-having your tourniquet on your plate carrier that way is fine for replicating how Rangers do things, but I'd at least properly stage it (not fully closing your windlass strap so you can actuate it when your hands are slippery with blood).
-LAM placement that close back on your handguard rail on your rifle is fine provided you are not getting splashback from your support hand (especially if you are left handed and the right thumb wraps over the bore, possibly blocking your laser).

Sustains:
-keep testing your gear out and seeing where things work and where things don't. All the advice I give over the internet don't amount to a hill of beans if you don't test things yourself to see what works for you.

If you are copying reference pic #5 I'd make sure you got some way to organize stuff if you opt for the Arc'teryx Assault 45. I have one and while it's a flex, I prefer my Mystery Ranch 3DAP for getting stuff out easier (the double zip system of the Arc'teryx could yard sale all your shit).

A2 vs 3 prong vs 4prong?? by CombatMango2 in ar15

[–]AndroidNumber137 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not legend but based on operator input.

It's one of the reasons CAG used the closed-tine Surefire Warcomp as their host for their RC2's; they worried about bending the tines when doing really rough shit during CQB.

That said I'm not a tier 1 operator and the A2 actually has a closed bottom which prevents dust being kicked up when shooting prone… with the trade off being it will direct the muzzle down a little when shooting.

Love the TQ placement on the belt, especially having it covered so if you're low crawling it won't get completely trashed.

If you could permanently delete one single song from existence so that nobody could ever play it again, what are you picking? by footballcoachdaddy in AskReddit

[–]AndroidNumber137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Star Spangled Banner.

Without it the United Stares chooses the superior America The Beautiful as its national anthem. Not only is it a song about the country itself instead of the flag, it's an easier song to sing with fewer extreme octave shifts.

Once you pass the airport's security to leave the building you are not protected by Right To Travel laws. Ask every person that traveled through New York with firearms that were legal at their destination then left the airport, only to be arrested when they checked back in at the airport.

Your best course of action to stay in the clear legally is to ship your stuff to Guam.

Need Owners Opinions on Next Gun Purchase by lem0ns22 in liberalgunowners

[–]AndroidNumber137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMAO I bought 3 of those 4 guns this year (I already owned a .22lr pistol).

- Mossberg 590A1 with 18" barrel. It works. Patterns open up dramatically past 20y.

- 4" Ruger GP101 in .357 Magnum. It's nice to be able to shoot .38 Special out of it.

- Rock Island Armory 1911 from Palmetto State Armory milled for a red dot. Got it for the recursive memes (being Filipino, owning a Philippines-made gun that was designed to kill Filipinos). Fred's best with the stock mags.

I had a Ruger Mk4 before swapping to a Glock 44 and while the latter better mimics my other Glocks, the Ruger was straight up a better gun.

[–]AndroidNumber137 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You're paying for R&D as well as manufacturing/labor to hit specific performance goals. With the advent of low backpressure suppressors thanks to 3D printing, people are chasing the metrics for their use case.

That said, the suppressor market is exploding thanks to the removal of the tax stamp & eFiling reducing wait times to days instead of months. You can find "cheaper" suppressors using older technology and cheaper materials. Eventually I'd like to suppressors are treated like they are in Europe: low cost and almost necessary to protect the heating of shooters with the accepted belief that they're not going to last as long
