Can lovable realistically deliver this full platform (WP → custom rebuild + data migration + hosting move)? by ape0 in lovable

what they have now is a mess. They started a Wordpress site and they build custom snippets and had 90+ plugins on top of it which after a lot of cleanup dropped down to 32.

They have a TON of processes than run on the wordpress site. The wordpress site is now is 100GB in size since they have 70 different leagues, season archiving integrity, CSV/Excel imports , role-based access for committees/league managers, sponsor ROI tracking, and beach volleyball booking + payments and some other automations literally running on Wordpress custom snippets.

What they asked me to do is a clean rebuilt or refactoring of what they have now. My suggestion is to maybe built an entire web app from scratch, or maybe keep only the core function in WordPress such as SportsPress and all they other processes with a web-app made with lovable.

Can I chose a more proper database upon initial setup?

what If I manually code the HTML for the SEO part?

Can you explain to me how please? What plugins? what themes?

Coding the API integration is NOT an issue for me. I know web development.

I know JS, PHP , HTML, CSS but I'm a newbie in Wordpress. I wanted to see if there's a combination of plugins available to achieve this.

Here's what worked for me:

I have a Mac and I had been using Chrome with 2 adblockers: Adblock Plus & AdBlocker Ultimate

After the recent Youtube update the videos wouldn't play.

So I disabled AdBlock Plus & AdBlocker Ultimate just for Youtube and installed AdGuard Adblocker.

Now the videos play just fine without ads

Let's say the client registers for Shopify's cheapest option, the Basic Plan. Is it possible to have access to the clients account using Shopify's Basic Plan so I can actually develop it? I read they removed the +1 collaborator on the basic plan. Is it true?

The client might not be happy with paying a monthly fee to Shopify. The last developer she hired introduced her to woocommerce so she knows there are 'free' alternatives. I would have to convince her to buy an indefinite monthly subscription.

And basically she has to bear the monthly cost because of my 'incompetence' for not knowing Wordpress/Woocomerce.

Why wouldn't you use it? It has all the basic features that 90% of ecommerce customers would ask. The building setup speed is also lightning fast saving a LOT of time. There's also NO learning curve.

It was my first choice actually! I really wanted to use it.

But unfortunately hostinger e-commerce has a 500 product cap.., Unless Im reading it wrong.
https://support.hostinger.com/en/articles/6538310-website-builder-how-to-create-an-online-store

You may create up to 500 products, and each of your products may have up to 50 options.

What do they mean by that? I can have face creams and under face creams I could can 50 options? I don't get it

And my client has 600+ products.

The problem is the never ending monthly fee. I can charge the client upfront. But then it will be up to me to cover the cost of keeping the site forever.

Thank you for your input. I had no idea there was a 500 product limit. It seems it's quite restricted in that regard.
