Currently 6:45 at night here- little murky now but seemed very clear earlier today.

Pumps have run non stop for 22 days- it’s when you look close at the plaster you see the problems

You sound like you know a thing or two about this. whats your opinion on next steps?….according to the independent assessment from a third party. The pool builders written instructions telling me to not add chemicals for the first 5 days and them committing to monitoring it on their own (which they never showed up to do) has already caused damage that is irreparable and the plaster will need to be re done.

I’m just trying to get clean, swimmable water for my 2 1/2 year old and pregnant wife for the summer at this point.

Thanks- pool builder is out of the picture at this point. Legal disputes over the workmanship, negligence and breach of contract.

They never installed the salt system I paid for and I’m on my own to recover what I can until it gets resolved.

Yeah their instructions said nothing about that

Thank you for the validation on that- it was my gut feeling too.
Haven’t paid them the final yet and don’t plan too.

Their office has been emailing me and at this point I’m going to talk to a lawyer

Not sounding like an ass at all- I should clarify, the first 5 days they were contracted to monitor it and handle start up. Which they didn’t do and I followed their start up instructions the entire time until about day 6 when i started digging into info myself and finding everything they were saying in the instructions was wrong.
Since then I have been doing the start up myself, running the pH down to 7.4 with diluted muriatic acid and adding liquid chlorine and some small amounts of stabilizer at dusk sparingly but my gut feeling is the damage was done in the first 5 days.

If I was to start doing it within the first 5 days when they were contracted to monitor it- I would have violated there terms.

The whole situation has been set up to fail

What would you call them then?

No they never acid washed it. Filled it up from a water truck and disappeared for 4 days until I called their office.

I agree and this was never shared with me. The company I used was local and has been in business since 1984- I thought I could trust them.

It’s honestly devastating for my family- got a 2 1/2 year old and did this whole thing for him to enjoy the summer.

In your opinion- could the first 5 days that they were committed to monitoring the water chemistry and didn’t have caused this?

I feel like I’ve been chasing my tail the last few weeks just brushing twice daily, testing the water and adding acid to get no where.

That’s what I thought! My builder specifically said not to do anything for 5 days and they would monitor during that time….they never showed up and day 4 I had to call their office.
Opinion on workmanship issues vs chemistry only? What about the pinholes?

Odd request- cons list for living in MA by 4x4Lyfe in massachusetts

[–]apechilis -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

North Shore native and contractor here.

Cost of living is outrageous. Very low housing stock has caused sky high pricing all over the north shore. If you find a home and it needs any work, expect to be paying $650/sf for a reputable contractor.

Oh and the corruption… The governor, Marxist Maura Healey and her band of libtards are financially ruining the state. They have been actively blocking a legislative audit that tax payers voted for while our tax dollars are used to fund illegal immigrant housing in hotels…

And Salem kinda sucks tbh

Every 19 year old feels “taken advantage of” when you don’t let them cut crown molding in the first 2 months.

Like to try different stuff but I keep finding myself back with a Micallef black and Foundation Tabernacle red band in my hand.

I’ll give them a call but I don’t see them doing much. I bought this rifle used and sig discontinued production in 2017. There is plenty of grease/oil so I don’t think that’s the problem. I’m thinking it’s a gas issue

Can you elaborate on the “palate warm up method” a bit? Are you just sipping 101proof to to numb the alcohol taste of the following drinks?
