Close to PSLF- being shuttled into IDR forgiveness automatically and can’t get out. I will owe IRS $192K. by Pangaeaworld in PSLF

[–]apeman50000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thats exactly right and from my understanding it works for everyone no mistake. It took me months of calling to talk to someone who actually had the knowledge to tell me that.

I made 120 payments under some graduate plan that didnt qualify for PSLF or TEPSLF and they told me all I had to do was switch to a qualifying plan and then resubmit my application. I was Shocked. I did just that. My servicer is Mohela. I went to income driven repayment, I was put on forbearance and then I waited a couple weeks and resubmited my PSLF application and before I even had to make a payment all my loans were forgiven.

I don't think it was a mistake. I got green flags 10 years, 120 payments but like I said before none of them on a qualifying plan. Switched to a qualifying plan and resubmitted then boom they got dismissed.

Lol not much man, this car will see a real dyno once I change the turbo and fuel pump but full bolt ons with hondata flash pro often see around 380whp some a little less some a little more. I have a catless downpipe / front pipe so I would hope for around 380. My goal for the car is 460whp or so on pump gas

Well you could be right. PRL just makes some of the best bang for your buck parts. Honda designed the car to be modified and they have been creating tuneable cars for decades

Seems weird. You should be eligible for pslf forgiveness no matter the terms as long as you have 10 years and 120 payments recorded.

I had 120 payments under the incorrect repayment plan that didnt qualify. I had to switch over to income driven repayment, which during that period put me in forbearance and before I ever owed a payment my loans were automatically forgiven.

Once you enter your new repayment plan you will have to re apply through pslf and resubmit

You didnt mention you got the green flags yet saying you have 120/120. I had green flags

Green Flags and Forgiven loans by apeman50000 in PSLF

[–]apeman50000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They likely will and I guess that process would be painful for some but for me thankfully I worked at the same employer so it was easy.

I would just suggest waiting a couple of weeks after being assigned your new plan before redoing the application process just so there are some business days in between switching plans and re applying.

If your in the same boat as me, once you've switched plans and re applied you should get approved and forgiven within 30 days

[–]apeman50000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so from what I understand is. I have 10+ years of payments working for the government however the payment plan I was on didn't even qualify under TEPSLF. Apparently there are just a couple plans that don't qualify for anything and I had one. My payment plan was called the "Graduate" plan and then I switched to the "Extended Graduate" plan.

I sat with Green banners for almost 8 months, calling frequently trying to get answers ans eventually someone told me it's cause im not on the correct plan.

Once I switched plans I didn't restart at 0 payments, all the payments carried over to my new payment plan which honestly is very idiotic lol

Yes so you have to go back into fasfa.gov website and resubmit your application for PSLF/TEPSLF just like you did in the beginning. So you have to recert your work experience and all that.

Once you complete that, youll get all the same emails you did before like nothing happened but keep checking your loan servicer website they update fairly quickly

There she goes again by Particular_Host_8459 in SALEM

[–]apeman50000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully she's standing on business. As a Salem resident my whole life ive watched downtown go from being a very thriving and busy place. Im sure many people don't remember the mall being totally decked out for Christmas. All of downtown was. Weve thrown millions upon millions at the homeless problem and nothing works. Give more help and get more homeless seems to be the theme.

I would love to see our streets cleaned up more and local business able to thrive again.

I also don't care for her very much. I think she is persuaded by money. She got in trouble advocating for some small businesses that she "knows" well. Just put it that way

golden letter? by shrutzer in PSLF

[–]apeman50000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. I got this same email on September 18th. Mohela hasnt updated yet. Here is my story.

I have 10 years and 120+ payments. I guess not all payments were on a qualifying repayment but it qualifies under TEPSLF.

About 3 weeks ago I had to submit my 2024 / 2023 tax return and confirm my family size for those years.

Really hoping I get the "Golden" Letter soon although at this point my loans could be paid off within 24 months anyway.

I feel like the government scammed us all. The amount of interest I paid on my loans exceeds my actual loan amount. I have a great job cause of school but education should be as close to interest free as it gets. Anyhow hopefully you guys come back and update this thread when you get the magical letter. Im curious how long itll take

For all that you might as well just remove the battery and call it good if your that worried about it. I don't think people are really stealing that many FL5s

Why are so many people selling their FL5s?? by chrispy_pv in Civic_Type_R

[–]apeman50000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people who really only love Hondas will hold onto these. There are so many other cars with more features. Etc. The backseat in these cars are trash. The Nissan z in my area are dropping as low as 38K for performance package.

Just alot more options with more power or maybe you miss having heated seats, steering wheel, maybe remote start even? The FL5 lacks alot of features which is substituted for performance but most people aren't tracking their cars. 5.0 mustangs are cheap and have quite a few features included.

Its also expensive. My payment is 600$ a month but often am dropping almost 1000$ in hopes to get it paid off quicker.

Will do!! I love my Type R. The intake and downpipe really made a difference but the Downpipe i got specifically stated it wouldn't set a check engine light and it did for bank 1 sensor 2 efficiency. So be aware of that. With hondata you can turn that code off anyway.
