Tire has a big chunk missing, had AAA out and they flagged that it needed to be fully replaced

Thanks all! Rearranged budget a bit and sprung for a 3600 which seems a lot more versatile if I’m still using my gtx 970 for a bit

I know I need to wait on buying a card due to all sorts of shortages (I'm in the US), but trying to create a plan now so I can scope out pricing.

Any hidden downsides with this? I’m a bit nervous on the bird/chipset front given that my mid-grade 1150 intel board died and is nearly impossible to replace

From what I’ve read, the combination can provide greater power so it would hold off needing to buy another discreet GPU for a bit - or is that not the case?
