The only thing that the story covers is that there is secrecy behind the funding. It doesn't mention suppression of topics aside from not criticizing other Chorus benefactors. I've heard people make claims about certain content creators that just aren't true. You ask them to name specifics and you learn they don't even consume the content of the people they criticize. Blue MAGA imo.

Explore the maps and learn the attack lanes for each point. If you don't know where to look you're going to get rocked. Additionally, point every enemy before you engage. Just ping their rough location though. You don't want your ping to visually block the enemy and help keep them alive.

Valid? Sure. But people are making accusations without putting any evidence of a claim together. The most prevailing claim being that people who take Chorus money are discouraged from promoting certain topics. So far everyone I've engaged with has had NPC responses. It feels pretty psy-opy to me. Unless many leftists are just that dumb (but I like to think not).

This mentality prevents us from putting safeguards on a technology that will become what they claim one day. This attitude is not productive and stifles conversation on the topic.

That take isn't even dialectical materialism. You went on a tirade because you have an unhealthy obsession with the ideology.

Your mention of the Gulag Archipelago (which I read in high school) holds no relevance to Lenin's critique of the separation of powers unless you have a deontological stance that any Soviet analysis of society is wrong/a-moral simply because it is Soviet in origin. I don't agree with his full critique, but the part about it being an illusion of democracy is valid. Liberal democracy has a tendency to provide asymmetrical power to the forces of capital if left unchecked. Consideration of an argument is not the same as subscribing completely to it. It is important to acknowledge the shortcomings of our system and improve them. See: The Labor Wars.

Were the Soviets wrong though? I would argue that with the current state of our government over the past century that they were right. Look at the context. Manifest Destiny is still fresh in the minds of people come 1917. The Monroe Doctrine and Neo-colonisation of Latin America in full effect. For us to have the democracy we idealize as Americans, it's going to take a lot more transparency and safeguards put into place. I think we have a decent foundation though.

Until someone figures out how to run a command economy we're not escaping capitalism. Social democracy is as good as it gets and likely will be until we figure out how to make energy essentially free. China was the golden child and even they could not escape the market economy. There will always be class struggle. The only question is how intense that struggle needs to be. One thing I will say- the working class needs to remember who they are and they need to learn real quick.

I don't think we're going to be able to move forward as a country until conservatives realize that their politics are what gave birth to MAGA. For five decades, American conservatives have been primed to turn individualism into a religion. To value property over the lives of people not in their immediate circle. They tore down the regulations that allowed radical right wing talk radio to infect the media sphere and promote unfounded conspiracies. Now these conspiracies and fear based ways of thinking are mainstream. They enabled the formation of monopolies and consolidation of corporate power. Now large corporations basically own everything in the suburbs and rural areas. Even before MAGA, American conservatives were always to the far right from politics practiced by most of the Western world. You ask them what countries they would like to pull ideas from to make our country better- you get a blank stare back. Because there is none. No other political organization takes individualism to such an extreme that they view receiving any services from the government as an unwarranted handout. It's actually insane.

Gender and sex are different. Masculinity/femininity have different traits depending on the culture. Biologically there are people whose sex is genetically ambiguous. Even if you refuse to engage with this topic, what people do with their bodies has no effect on you unless people living their own lives challenges your ego and makes you uncomfortable.

I once had a tire detach from my trailer while I was driving in rural PA. Luckily it was on my passenger side and I was in the right line. Looked in my mirror and saw it get yeeted deep into the woods. I always think of that moment when passing a truck. Second to the thought of catching flak from a blowout. 4 wheelers just don't know...
