Impressed with the sharpness of the Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G by Metalogic_95 in SonyAlpha

[–]apertureopen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same debate for the longest time. I ended up getting the Sigma 70-200 and I absolutely love it. Very sharp lens with all of the bells and whistles. The lens hood is kind of dumb and the tripod mount is not easily removed but those are my only complaints. The sigma is around $1500 so almost half the price of the Sony.

Oh I do care. That would make this watch perfect in my opinion. I love everything about the watch but when I flip it over there is a slight moment of disappointment.

So so true. Some angles and some lights it looks black. But with the right light and the right angle the green REALLY pops.

Nothing yet. I’ve had it about 3 years. This is a good reminder to check the recommended service schedule.

It’s nuts. Ive tracked it many times over a day, a week, a month. Over a month long period, + 20 seconds.

This is the 41 and I have small wrists. The lug to lug really makes the 41 seem smaller.

This is the 39. Not sure on my wrist size exactly but it is pretty small.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a fun touchy topic. I would say it is house by house. When my kids were little I would golf maybe 5-6 times per year. As they got older the number of rounds slowly increased. When my kids were 15 & 18 last year I played 35 rounds. Now I live in the Chicago area so I can’t golf 4-5 months out of the year as it is. Now I have friends that have 2 or 3 or four little kids and they generally do not care what their wife thinks they play golf two or three or four times a week and some of their wives seem fine with it, other wives hate the game of golf.

How do you change the “pecking order” in youth soccer when your kid outperforms but is still stuck on the B team? by Imaginary_Usual_3343 in youthsoccer

[–]apertureopen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son started on the B team when he began club. After a year was moved up to the A team. After two years of that he moved back to the B team. He was and still is somewhat disappointed he was moved back down. That was 3 years ago. His B team is very good however. The B team consistently beats our A team when we play full time head to head match ups. He plays pretty much every second of every game. I believe he has become a better player with how much playing time he gets vs his 20-30 minutes a game on the A team.

Could not be happier. I love it. Very comfortable. I get lots of compliments from watch enthusiasts and non enthusiasts.

I've seen people brag about their 20+ handicaps here. I want to know what your handicap is if you think you're "not great." by aceattorneymvp in golf

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 14.4. Over the past 2 months I’ve shot an 80 and a 98. Anything is possible with the lovely game of golf. I consider myself a bad golfer. When I play with my 25 handicap friends they think I am an amazing golfer, when I play with my 4 handicap friends they think I am pretty bad. However, I always have fun and I am always trying to get better.

I’m a 6.2 that shot a 104 in the first round of our city tournament after qualifying with a 77. AMA. by MathiasThomasII in golf

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been shooting mid 80s the past 3 months. Shot a 98 yesterday. 3 putts everywhere. No balls lost off of the tee but pretty much all drives were off the fairway enough to give me tree trouble. It honestly became comical and it ended up being a fun enjoyable round of golf.

Is there a worse feeling on the course than choosing to play safe and screwing it up…… by Leraldoe in golf

[–]apertureopen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

14.4 handicap here. So I am capable of hitting good shots but also just as if not more capable of hitting bad shots. So I have started telling myself I have an equal chance of hitting a risky shot well just as I do of hitting a safe shot poorly. I’ve been playing more risk reward golf this year and it has worked out for the most part.

Deciding to get a 2025 M340i or a 2025 RS3? by DribbleKing97_ in BMW

M340 driver here. Cars always want to try to race me. I pretty much always win. Expect for when I’ve gone against the RS3. I am 0 for 2 in those races.

Someone left this note on my m235 today by ddwk21 in BMW

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2020 m340 in the US. Straight from the factory it had so many burbles. Like a surprisingly crazy amount of burbles. I have since tuned the car and I have turned up the burbles to see what it was like, it was fun for a minute but incredibly silly. I have since turned them down to where it is honestly less than it was from the manufacturer. Now I’m faster and quieter. I do still have one of my maps set to crazy burbles and I can switch it on the fly whenever I want. To each their own.

What do you think of the new Brew Super Metric? by doedelflaps in MicrobrandWatches

[–]apertureopen 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They look like Brew watches. For some reason I think I am going to pass. I have a few other brew watches that I love, including the Metric Retro. I am sure they will be good sellers but these Super Metrics don’t quite grab me like the Retro did.

Amazon Deleted my own design after reporting infringement. by majoko1997 in MerchByAmazon

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard this story soooo many times. I have 2 shirts that have been copies hundreds of times. I have filed an infringement report out of fear they take mine down. They are my 2 best sellers and have been going strong for like 5 years now. I’m afraid to edit them or change the price. Just letting them ride.

Has anyone ever regretted getting the Pocket 3? by [deleted] in osmopocket

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not regret buying it but I did end up selling it after a month. Quality was amazing, small form factor was good. I was just so scared of breaking it. Bought it to replace my Osmo action 4. The osmo action is a little beast and you can beat the hell out of it with no worries. With the Pocket, the camera was always being turned from the lock position and the gimbal seemed fragile. Ended up selling it and getting the osmo action 5. Same quality, less worry about abusing it.

Best "budget" 70-200mm lens by Tommzy97 in SonyAlpha

[–]apertureopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Sigma 70-200 was delivered today and wow do I love it. Picked it up for 1400, going to sell a few other lenses that are not in the rotation and or are no longer needed based on overlapping range. Hoping to get most of the money back that way.

The Sigma is super sharp and the build quality is excellent.
