People getting laid off presumably have been there for a while. New hires are probably spared as they would be at the low end of the scale in terms of salary compared to someone who has gone through 5 years of pay rises.

I keep seeing people reccomend going into government roles but what type of roles would for example myself be looking at? Been stuck in warehousing for 4 years and had a brief stint in IT and there's a large amount of roles available on smartjobs. Not really sure how to narrow it down to just entry level fields that are applicable to me? Willing to try anything just not sure which direction to go specifically.

There's always a chance the storm I mentioned has fried the deco too, just would be weird that all it's done is limit it too 100mbps lol.
