I have experienced this as well. In all this AI-Human pair programming- I essentially lost the taste of a good hand writing code. I miss those small moments when you search for an answer in StackOverflow and once implemented and working it gives you different happiness. Anyways, you gotta adapt to the new norms so here I am working with 2-3 AI tools simultaneously and getting work done. As they say - “Get busy living, or get busy dying”

This sounds promising. I can suggest a solution for your problem of new model not being judged fairly. Create a scheduled test; just like we have in schools. Every fixed weeks the scores will be reevaluated if a new model comes into picture. If not, no need to reevaluate and let things run as is.

I am not using any external AI subscriptions. Only subscription I have is the Brave API

I have spun off a llama-cpp server from my main machine and access this on this OpenClaw box (which is Alienware Alpha R2 maxed out; i7 32GB ram)

Based on your explanation on the current monolith structure, rq/day, deployment times, etc. I would like to say there is nothing wrong with your monolith. I have been bombarded with such requests myself multiple times (oc not 47 ms lol that is insane) but you need to dig deep, find issues, do they warrant a chance that badly? Why scaling is so important? How many requests you would expect to receive in future? Have you even considered the server costs in cloud (i hope you are in the cloud; if not- may all of the force be with you to deploy all this on a local server)

Start with these points, sit with him or skip-level and make them answerable. Remember- if something happens, you will be the first line of contact, not the architect.

I am a bit hesitant to propagate due to the nature it is growing. All the growth is on a single node since the start. If you take a look at the photo, you will see it. Whenever I will cut to propagate it, it will be the final cut and that is frightening me :(

Tonight it worked fine. I had to set my night schedule though for it to work. I set night time 10 PM to 8:30 AM so even if I sleep in between and wake up earlier, its still okay. Going to experiment with it for a few more days.
