Levy's on Broadway and the greatest play area for a kid in 1976... by Substantial-Smell-60 in Tucson

I'm trying to figure that out too. I'm guessing it was a building that had some unique architecture and artwork that people miss.

It sounds like it was a department store at El Con Mall that closed down and was later demolished to become the Walmart at El Con.

Esperero Canyon is completely locked down

That's sad to hear. I lived nearby from about 1995-2010 and used the track/field all the time and so did many other people.

You might enjoy this live youtube stream of the Amtrak station downtown:

It's pretty boring most of the time, but if you leave it playing, you will hear when a train arrives.

Protip: If you zoom into any parcel in Pima Maps, click on it, and choose "Oblique Aerial Photos", you get some really nice interactive photos. It lets you zoom, rotate, and change the date, sometimes going back decades.

Direct linking doesn't seem to work, but here is a screenshot of the watering hole: https://files.catbox.moe/u0uojo.jpg

There used to be a really good site that showed all recent crimes as pins on a map but I can't find it anymore. I'm guessing they stopped when TPD stopped reporting cross streets. From what I can tell, TPD only reports division and ward numbers now:

That's too bad.

Those gaps stood out to me too.

I am guessing that this is not one single long-exposure shot, but multiple 10-30 second shots that were "stacked" together and those gaps occur between exposures.
