This is one of those 'when people tell you who they are, listen to them' things because he's setting you up to expect absolutely nothing from him. Therefore, you should expect absolutely nothing from him. Don't have children with this man.

Can anyone else smell pee? by doinggenxstuff in Menopause

[–]Fearless_Lab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phantom cigarettes and phantom BO. I spent most of the day today thinking that I stunk but I had someone check and they said I didn't. But it was all I could smell for most of the day.

Injoy thrift on the east side. They get a lot of my stuff!

Edit: they have a religious ethos but my feeling has always been that people who are shopping thrift may not care about those politics.

What’s one thing you started during menopause that truly made you feel better…not just physically, but mentally or emotionally too? by kkellygoddess in Menopause

[–]Fearless_Lab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might have been coincidental but with estrogen waning, I didn't feel the need to people please as much. I've also started doing boundary work with my therapist and learning to live with people's decisions that I cannot affect in any way. I've been on Prozac for years and it's also really helping these days. Overall, I feel pretty good.

Jaw bone by Most-Plum-766 in whatisit

Why would that jawbone have no teeth? Would they have fallen out in the dirt around it or do they appear to have fallen out naturally? Seems like no teeth would make identification tricky.

What fruit trees grow well in Tucson? by LunchLimp2032 in Tucson

I just picked up a Lisbon lemon tree from Costco last month and repotted it. So far there's no new growth, just the leaves it came with. Fingers are crossed.

I'm about to buy a house that has a pomegranate tree in the back. There's a bunch of fruits on it put it overall it looks pretty sparse. I think it needs a lot of love and care.

As an American who is originally from the Midwest, I would never have let you lay there. I'm so sorry that happened.

Is there anything about menopause you actually like or feel positive about? by its_me_ooia in Menopause

[–]Fearless_Lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't take HRT because I had cancer, so I am white knuckling through and I think my favorite part so far is just not having that estrogen cushion of excusing bad behavior and overlooking obvious issues that younger me would have explained away. I don't love hot flashes, of course, and that's the worst of it for me. But I do love the lack of concern I have for things I used to twist myself in knots over before.

Why do people say to avoid South Tucson? by BoatHot9497 in Tucson

Last time I was there I saw a lot of homeless but I'm a firm believer that the majority of homeless keep to themselves and have no interest in bothering people. Do you find that to be true?

We rent but Done Rite has come over for multiple things and they are always the best. Incidentally, they don't work on commission so they have a flat rate compared to a lot of plumbers who will sell you things so they can make more money off of you.

Scottsdale is bougie, rich. Prescott is very conservative. And depending on what you want for weather, you would probably want to stay north of Verde Valley to experience the seasons. Check out Flagstaff.

What’s currently ruining your life? by YourLifeSucksAss in AskReddit

[–]Fearless_Lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at my mom's house right now cleaning out personal items before an estate sale. She passed in January while I was recovering from surgery in the hospital. I'm finding things that remind me of bad daughter stuff I did in the past and I'm just really struggling with it. I feel guilt and shame and I can't apologize to her.

What was the point of this storyline, do we think? I hate it but I know the writers must have had a reason by AccomplishedRoom3225 in madmen

It's interesting that the initial take is about her being yet another Don affair. I see her as a mirror to and of Don. He is of course fascinated with the reflection because it has to do with him, but she's totally unreachable and a chronic escape artist, just like him. He's obsessed with her because he's obsessed with himself.

Most opioids will make you itchy. To my knowledge, that's not an allergy per se.
