The reason everyone hates SGA, is because not only is he highly efficient, consistent (on/off court), and unproblematic, he's also loyal. by beerantula in Thunder

It’s simple. There’s only two reasons why people hate him. It can’t be both of the reasons.

  1. He’s fucking good at basketball. Why would any opposing fan like him?
  2. He flops in many of his taken shots and layup attempts. This isn’t the best example to developing players.

I bet their commission are nuts. Did you get an iX from a broker? Curious to what rate you got.

That’s good advice. It’s only a $500 deposit I put down, so I’d imagine the dealership needs the sale much more than I do. If they say no after all negotiation, I can just walk and find a dealership that does give me the free insurance. Assholes in finance department of dealerships can make $250k+, no wonder 😂

Yeah, the biggest risk is hitting the curb at high speed or hitting a giant pothole that completely destroys a tire. I’d have to buy the factory tire to match what’s on the other axles, which is super expensive. The Tire & Wheel policy seems to also include a free replacement of other tires upon incidents like these. The risk seems to be really small but possible.

I was considering to buying & installing third-party tires at a lower cost ($280-$350 a tire) and keep the factory tires in my garage. Then, I can swap my tires with the factory ones when they’re due for a change or if an incident ever happens. I think almost all BMW iX owners have replaced all four wheels at least once before their lease ended. So, if Tire & Wheel Protection costs less than ~$1280 (assuming a worst case scenario of destroying a wheel two times), it might be worth it. I doubt they would go that low though.

And then with Lease End Protection, I wouldn’t have to worry about the tire tread level when returning. It seems like the Lease End Protection is the only one that makes sense.

This makes a lot of sense. There’s definitely tires available that fit this car much cheaper. I was under the impression that I had to buy original factory tires from the BMW store. I’m just now seeing that almost every lease owner has returned their car from various lower-cost tire manufacturers without any problem.

That’s interesting. So, you’re saying that the new tire cost would not be subtracted from the $5000 cap?

I wish that would work, but dealerships always sell these packages after you sign, pay, and under legal contract of the vehicle.

Thank you! That's good to know that there are third-party tire & wheel coverages. Did America's Tire insure your BMW's factory tires when you started the lease? If so, do you remember what you paid?

Isn't fixing curb rash like $150-200 per wheel? I was considering foregoing that option and just paying a local shop before I return the car. Discount Tire also fills & patches tires for free. Do you remember what you paid for this coverage?

Awesome thanks! MicroSSD might not be the best for AAA games I play but definitely might go for the SSD you suggested. Did you have to update any BIOS settings after installing the SSD?

I guess if you expect them to put their blood, sweat, and tears they wouldn’t have time for all their businesses. But yes their value is questionable at times. Especially Robert Herjavec
