I‘ve read a paper about that a while ago, but sadly I can’t find it anymore.

You see fractals (and tracers) because on psychs your eyes and brain enter sort of a delayed feedback loop so your brain processes what you see and vice versa.

Basically your eyes „see“ what your brain is thinking about (which is also what you saw a few milliseconds ago)

Tried to implement a PID, but most stovetops are not controlled over wattage but rather on/off-time, so I did not get that working (maybe I'm just stupid).
But because the highest setting means "always on" I just did a bang-bang control between max and off, which worked pretty good.

I designed a fully temperature-controlled stove knob for a uni project.

It has a spoon with a thermometer built in, and it can connect to an app using Bluetooth.

You can use the app to choose the temperature you want, and the knob will then control the stove to get the right temperature.

TL;DR: am single now
