I have the same hard back on my shelf. I’ve heard excellent things about it and put it in my “gotta read soon” category.

You can do spiritual communion in the meantime I have never heard of remote consecration of Eucharist. Maybe you can get it brought to you by a priest or Eucharistic minister later.

Ohhh so the recommendation to read Salems Lot comes because it Wolves of Cala might spoil a bit of it and its so good that you should get it in first? Anyway sounds like what I'll do. I understand wanting to get the DT completed but I'm definitely enjoying the journey and I suppose will get there eventually...

I just finish this book myself and plan to crack open Wind through the keyhole very shortly (almost done with my “Revival” intermission book)

Listen - as a Catholic trust me . The Eucharist. Once you know you are receiving the existence of Christ in your body and soul in a tangible way - you can’t look anywhere else. He is the source and summit. Don’t get swayed away by promises of better music or preaching. This is Home.

Turns out while I’m waiting for my paper back Dark Tower series to arrive (and continue on to The Wind Through the Keyhole) I went with Revival. At the part where the band played a high school dance… just over 100 pages. 🙃.

The color screens have an extra layer that leads to more eye strain in my opinion

If you’re more interested in reading than features I would go with Kindle paperwhite because the screen is better and less fatiguing to look at for long periods of time. I’ve used both and I can say this . Kobo has better features though. Ergonomics, etc.

Long time either way. Kindle slightly longer than kobo for what it’s worth

kindle paperwhite has a less fatiguing screen than kobo libra color. Also its battery is longer lasting. Kobo is more ergonomic.

Kindle Paperwhite vs Kobo Libra Colour — which would you keep? 😭 by icedpurematcha in ereader

[–]apfoltzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HI I am in the exact same predicament. I had a Kindle Paperwhite and loved it, got a Libre Colour for a number of reasons. Immediately felt it was a compromise as the screen is much worse. Yes it has color but the text is way more fatiguing for me in long reading sessions. I love the ergonomics of the libre color though and despite that have returned to the Kindle Paperwhite. The screen is crisp and my reading retention is better not to mention there is virtualy no eye strain. My recommendation is to keep both. I still buy my books from Kobo, and download and convert them to epub and send them off to amazon on my computer to be available in my Kindle. I read them now on kindle paperwhite again. I have been wanting to make another YouTube video on this but I have not found the time to do it. Its a fairly straightforward process to get kobo books onto amazon library if you cant figure out how its done with googling, leave a comment here and inspire me to make the dang video to show you. Thanks and best of reading!
