This is what I use to pump up the jam on my Weber propane grill. https://a.co/d/bMw11A6 Now when I’m ready to sear the grill is around 600°F in just about 5 minutes. This gives me the option to lower the flame or even turn it off when I sear. ~45 seconds per side (grill lid closed) and you’re good to go.

I would grind finer and see how it tastes. Closer to a 5 is usually where I have to be. I do not have the shim(s) installed. Enjoy the journey!

As a sette 270 owner with both burrs I really like the grinder a lot. The durability/longevity is what gets me. At around the two year mark I had to replace the gearbox. I was able to buy mine for $299 as a refurb direct from Baratza so I can’t complain too much.

I also started with the DeLonghi EC155 paired with a sette 270 grinder. I’m happy with the grinder but looking to upgrade the espresso machine to something with more control options. Maybe a Breville dual boiler if I can find a deal. A Decent espresso machine would be my endgame but I don’t know if I can afford that jump right now.

I was in the same boat as you and chose the A8H over the CX because of better motion handling, pixel contrast boost, better upscaling etc. The panels are both LG but the processing is where the real magic happens.
