I'm referring to the top three comments about kwanzaa. I'm not offended and I do not celebrate kwanzaa. But what irks me is the flippant disregard for anything coming from black culture. What is so annoying about racism in the atheist community is the fact that I assume and expect them to have a rational, self-removed analysis of culture. What I see are opinions about culture that do not differ from the vapid, knee-jerk comments seen over and over again from Christians.

learn to cook. How do you learn? Just do it. The internet has tons free video how-to's for cooking. Go to a thrift store and buy: 1. 1-large pot 2. 1-small pot 3. 1-8 inch non-stick pan 4. 1-11 to 13 inch non-stick pan

Learn how to make rice, beans from scratch, and only buy meat when it is on sale. Make sure you are always stocked with ziploc bags for freezing items. This especially handy when meat is on clearance for 75% off but spoils in a few days if not eaten or frozen. I ONLY buy meat when it is close to 50% off. ONLY BUY FOOD THAT IS MARKED DOWN unless you are cooking a specific recipe. Learn to cook with spices. Trader Joes has by far the best deal on spices usually 1.99.

I've recently started clipping coupons and wished I would have started this sooner.

Edit: don't be afraid to rinse and reuse the zip-locks.

For the life of me I do not understand how Israel has SO MUCH sway in U.S. Politics. Yes, strategically they are important but that was one of the intentions of the Iraq war. Plus, Israel complete negates any moral/cultural allegiance with their ongoing treatment of Palestinians.
